Love the stitching you did on the stocking! Plus, I really like that red piece of cardstock you layered so that the stocking pops off the patterned paper. Fabulous! Happy early birthday!

My Memories Suite Review and Giveaway

Hello everyone!  My Memories Suite contacted me to review their digital scrapbook software and to give one away to one of my followers too!  Stay tuned to the end of the post for details on how to win :)

I have never tried digital scrapbooking before trying My Memories Suite. I think it is a lot of fun!  It comes with papers and extras already with the software.  Their website has lots of freebies and sales too.  You can do so much more than just scrapbook pages.

Here is a page that I made for our puppy Charlie.  I did not use a template, just placed everything on my own.  The software let me save this as a jpeg to my computer so I could just pull it up and add here--I think this is so cool!

I have not tried printing yet, as I do not have a good photo printer.  I think I will have to invest in one -- LOL!  This will be a fun addition to my scrapbooking.  I think I would love to print out pages and still add some dimension.  But, hopefully I can get caught up a bit since I am way behind.

This is a free card template that I found on the My Memories site.  I can't wait to print it out!!

Isn't it cute?!  And what is so great about this software is that you can leave the album all digital and even add music and narration.  This would be great to send to out of town family members.  I think I will try this for Christmas for my family out of state.

Here's 2 pages from a 6 page album that was ready to go.  All I had to do was add some text and my pictures.  It took me maybe 30 minutes!

Now that you have seen the few things I have made, go visit My Memories Suite and check it out for yourself.  Come back here and tell me your favorite paper pack and you will be eligible to win this software for yourself!  There are lots to choose from so grab your coffee or tea and browse away :)

If you are not a winner, you can purchase this software for yourself and get $10 off with this code when you check out:  STMMMS61574.   And if you are on Facebook, make sure to LIKE My Memories -- they have giveaways, freebies, and fun challenges!  I know you will have fun with it too :)

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday #82

Hi eveyone! Fantabulous Cricut Challange Me Monday day is here!  Today's challenge is Purple People Eater-use purple and a monster or bug on your project :)  So fun!!

    Here are the details:
    • Monster cut from Mini Monsters at 3 inches
    • My Pink Stamper Spooky Puns
    • Doodlecharms:
      • Monster Mania Monster Dots Paper
      • Doodle Twine Halloween Assortment
    • TCP Studios Rockets and Rayguns Googly Eyes
    • iRock
    • Action Wobble
    • Black Diamond Stickles
When I went to cut out the monster, the pieces for the eyes and mouth looked so tiny that I decided not to even cut them out.  I knew I would use the stickles for the mouth and then I pulled out these fun googly eyes I bought in September but hadn't used yet. Half the package has extended eyes that bug out.  You can see this in the second picture.

I hope you have time to play along this week!!  Make sure to visit Fantabulous Cricut to see all the Design Team's Purple People Eaters :)

You can visit my Friday post to leave a comment to win a set of the stamps I used today.  I'll draw a winner tomorrow!

My Pink Stamper Pink-alicious Blog Hop

Hello everyone!!  I just love the 2nd Friday of the month--it's a Pink-alicious Blog Hop night!!  If you have just come from Edna's amazing blog Create with Expression, then you are in the right place.  If not, make sure to head over to My Pink Stamper so you can enjoy all the projects!

Today's challenge is to make a Treat or Goodie Bag with any holiday them and we had to use Yummy-licious or Sweet Goodness.  Mine is more of a box from Art Philosophy (of course!).

This next view shows the side.  It has a cut in the flaps you can't see so those sides just hook together.  Then you finish off the top with ribbon, or twine like I did.  These will go together so quickly and would make great treat boxes for school kids too!

    • My Pink Stamper Yummy-licious set
    • Art Philosophy box cut at 11 inches
    • Very Merry Tags peppermint cut at 2 1/2 inches
    • My Minds Eye Peppermint Patty 12 Days of Christmas paper
    • Heat set gems with the iRock
This was so super easy to put together!  I think I'm going to get some more of this paper and make these for some co-worker's for Christmas and probably put some peppermints in them.

Your next stop is Agnes and her fabulous Flowerdisco's Scrap Hut blog.  When you make it to the end, m ake sure to go back to My Pink Stamper to see where you can buy all her fabulous stamps and to link up your own project that you make for this challenge!

Since you have made it to the end, I have a treat for one lucky comment!  Please leave one comment with a way for me to get in touch with you for a chance to win a My Pink Stamper Spooky Puns stamp set.   I will draw a winner on Tuesday and ship out as soon as I get the address so that you may have them in time for making Halloween goodies!       Giveaway is over.

Have fun and thanks for visiting.

    Christmas Tree

    Hi everyone!

I was going to post this yesterday, but my daughter had a chorus concert Tuesday night so the post did not get written :)

I've been working on Halloween and Fall cards and I am probably not done making those.  But today, I have a Christmas Card!  Not mine, haven't started those yet -- LOL!  This was for a card swap I am in.

    Here are the details:
    • Art Philosophy Cartridge tree cut at 3 1/2 inches
    • Create a Critter light string cut at 1 1/4 inches
    • My Pink Stamper
    • My Minds Eye 12 days of Christmas Season's Greetings paper
    • American Crafts glitter ribbon
    • Christmas red, Christmas (green w/red), and Gold Stickles
    • pop dots
This card is the 3rd version.  I was going 2 different directions for it and even have 22 scallop label cuts that did not make it on this version ready for something else :)

Today is the last day of round 2 voting over at Practical Scrappers.  I'm working on the next round's card now so hope to see it on there site on Saturday :)  Here's the link and the instructions from them: http://www.practicalscrappers.com/2011/10/card-contest-finalists-round-two.html

    Too Cute to Spook!

Hello!  Here's the 2nd challenge card I made over the weekend.  I just LOVE this one!  It really is cute :)

    Here are the details:
    • Mini Monsters Spider cut at 2 1/2 inches
    • Elegant Edges border cut at 4 inches by 1 inch
    • My Pink Stamper Spooky Puns
    • Spiderweb Cuttlebug Folder (borrowed)
    • Black Twine From the Twinery
    • iRock
    • Magenta and Cotton Candy Stickles
    • Action Wobble
This was really easy to put together.  The eyes on the spider are so tiny and I lost one.  My table mate (hi Angie!!) suggeted the iRock eyes which was just perfect--I used two different sizes on that.  Then I made the spider hang but left the twine loose and used an Action Wobble to attach the spider.

If you have a chance, I would appreciate a vote over at the Practical Scrappers Card Making Contest I am in. Card Contest Link You can vote everyday :)  I really to thank everyone who is supporting me through this contest!!   Found on Practical Scrappers:  *if you are unable to cast a vote but wish to you may send a vote via email to practicalscrapperscards@gmail.com*

    Spooky!

Hi everyone!  I was at a Swarm this weekend close to home and had a fabulous time!  I worked on a blog hop project for Friday night, 23 swap cards (which are quite done since I needed ribbon), and 2 challenge cards.  Here's one of them.

    And the details:
    • 3 Birds on Parade
      • bird cut at 3 1/2 inches
      • Spooky cut at 11/2 inches
    • Cuttlebug Candy folder (borrowed at Swarm)
    • My Pink Stamper Spooky Puns
    • DCWV Ghosts and Goblins Stack
    • iRock
    • Black Diamond Stickles
This is for a sketch challenge on the Circle board.  I really feel that I don't do my best work when I follow a sketch, but I like to try.  The bird was a bit bigger than I thought it would be but I just went with it anyway since it was so cute :)

One of the best things about getting together with other crafters is that you can try new things.  But the downside is then you want to buy it!  So now I need several cuttlebug folders and a new cartridge or two that I thought I did not need before :)

    Beware of the Spider

Hi everyone!  Today is the day--I made it through to the next round of the Practical Scrappers Card Making Contest!!!!  Thanks so much for all your support :)  The next round is a voting round as well.  So if you could, please vote for me.  You can vote once a day and you just need to go to this link Practical Scrappers: Card Contest Finalists Round Two  and leave a comment with my name again.  I would really appreciate it!

This is the card I made for the next round.  I made 3 different ones but my daughter thought this one was the one to send.  I really liked yesterday's too, so I hope I made the right decision.

    Here are the details:
    • Chic and Scary
      • Web cut from Vellum at 4 1/2 inches
      • Spider cut at 2 inches
    • My Pink Stamper Spook-alicious stamp
    • Echo Park Apothecary Emporium paper (web paper behind purple
    • Doodlebug
      • Halloween Assortment Twine
      • Spooky Town Mini Jewels (purple gem on twine)
    • Marth Stewart Web Edge Punch
    • iRock gems (on web)
    • Black Diamond Stickles
    • Zip Dry
    • Pop Dots
I covered the spider in the Black Diamond stickles and let it dry.  This made the legs curl just a bit.  when I pop dotted it onto the web, I was able to bend the legs towards the web to make it look like it's grabbing on.  The card is a 5 1/2 inch square.

    Thanks again everyone!!!

    Helen
