Little Witch

Hello everyone!  I just have a quick card for you that I am entering in the Unity Hop today.  I used A Tiny Witch Set on this card and really love how it turned out!

I did have a little problem right in the middle where my finger smooshed the stickles and took a bit of color away.  I tried to add a bit more in, but it's not exactly how I wanted it to be.  But since it's watercolor, I went with it (plus, this was my second one after I messed up the first one's face!)

Have a great night!!

Trendy Twine - But First, Coffee

Hello everyone!  I'm posting over at Twine It Up! with Trendy Twine.  Today I have a coffee card to show you featuring the fabulous Cherry Latte Trendy Twine.

I cut the coffee cup from a file on Design Space.  It's about 4 inches tall.  The cup was a bit plain so I decided to fill around the 'wrap' with my Cherry Latte Trendy Twine. I pop dotted the little heart on after I stamped the sentiment from the Need Coffee stamp set.  To finish it off, I added some brown sequins and a bit of gold Wink of Stella pen to the 'steam'.

We've got something fun coming on Thursday so I hope you check back in.  And be sure to head over to Annie's Paper Boutique for all your Twine and packaging needs!

Watercolor Glasses Card

Hello everyone!  I decided to sign up for the Watercolor for Card Makers online class that started on Monday.  I haven't finished day 1 videos, but they let you have access to them all the time, so I am not worried.

I did make it through Day 2 (I think) and really wanted to try some tips.  This is not exactly what I was going for, but it will be fun to experiment!

I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads to make this background.  Then I used a Unity Stamp called Talk Nerdy for the glasses.  I did not use the sentiment for this card.  It will make a cute anytime note to send someone.

After stamping and before adding my star sequins, I did spritz this with some Glimmer Mist.  The sparkle does not show up in this picture though.

I can't wait to see Day 3 lessons and try everything out this weekend!

Have a fabulous day!

Wishing you Blessings

Hello again!  I was determined to get one last card done for the MFT You Could be a Design Star Challenge before the deadline.  Taking pictures of a light card at 11:30pm though makes it a little tough.  But here goes!

Update 9/19/15: Here is a picture of the card taken during the daylight. You can see the pattern of the DCWV paper a bit better, I think and the color is truer.

I used MFT Blueprints 1 for the base and the scalloped border top and the Fancy Flourish die for the silver flourish.  The stamp is from Fall Foliage, however it had the words 'this season' under the word Blessings.  I used some very skinny Washi tape to mask that part off.  And it worked!

Have a great day!

Thanks for Everything!

Hello everyone! I have another card for you today.  I really like the colors on this one too :)

I used all My Favorite Things products (except the pearls and gems).  The dies are from Blueprints 12 and the stamp is from Fall Foliage.

This card is for the MFT You Could be a Card Design Superstar challenge.

Have a great day!

Happy Birthday Chicks

Hi everyone!

I am having a ton of fun playing with my Unity Stamps lately.  National Stamping month has kept me creating :)

This was an Itty Bitty Unity Stamp set called Happy Chick Birthday that I had not inked up before. I am going to have to use this more--it's so cute!

I also use some Lemon Tart and Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine.  They were both perfect for the colors I used on the whole card.

This is being linked up to the Unity Hop.

Have a fabulous day!!

Watercolor Happy Birthday

Hello!  I have another card for the MFT You Could Be a Card Design Superstar challenge.  Today, I tried a bit of watercolor.  I am stepping out of my usual lately and am liking it :)

This was hard to photograph and get a good representation of the color.  The top picture is closest to the colors of the actual card.

Supplies used:

  • My Favorite Things:
    • Written in Watercolor Stamps (sentiment and hearts)
    • Die-namics Stitched Rectangle STAX
    • Die-namics Blueprint 13 (pink background)
  • Sequins
  • Zig Watercolor Markers
  • Pop Dots
  • Glimmer Mist
I thought it needed a bit of sparkle, so I spritzed the watercolor front with glimmer mist.  That is a bit hard to see her though. I also decided it needed a bit of dimension so I used pop dots for the top layers.

Have a fabulous day!!

You're Amazing!

Hello everyone!  I have been creating this long holiday weekend and have managed to make five cards.  It's back to work tomorrow (Tuesday) so I don't know how much more I can do this week.

I went to see what the sketch challenge was over at MFT Card Challenges and noticed that they are having another contest: You Could Be a Card Design Superstar.  Of course, I need to try this!  You can enter five cards and this is the first one I made.  I hope to make at least two more before the deadline of September 18.

I used:

  • MFT:
    • Written in Watercolor Stamp
    • Luck Stars Die-namics
    • Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics
  • Bo Bunny Pattern Paper
  • Silver Metallic Ink Pad
  • Doodlebug Mini Jewels
  • Pop Dots
I do love how this turned out!  I hope to try something different for my next card :)

Have a great day!

Trendy Twine - Coffee Lover Cups

Hi everyone!  I'm posting over at Twine It Up! with Trendy Twine today and I am so excited for this month's projects!!  We are showcasing the Cherry Latte Trendy Twine and the adorable Mini Cups and Mini Spoons.  I LOVE all things mini :)

To decorate my Mini Cups and Mini Spoons, I used the new Need Coffee! Planner Stamps along with the Cherry Latte Trendy Twine.

I found the coffee wrapper for the Mini Cups on my Cricut Design Space--not sure what cart, but I search coffee sleeves and found it there.  I cut a circle out and glued my Cherry Latte Twine on the outside, going around two times.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Need Coffee set along with the cute take out cup.  I did try to color in the stamp a bit but that is not the best--I'll need to work on that!

For the Mini Spoons, I stamped the hash tag stamps on three spoons.  Then I wrapped some more Cherry Latte Twine around the rim of the lid and tied the spoon on. I filled the cups with some of those Andes Candies you see in the picture.

Make sure to keep visiting Twine It Up! with Trendy Twine for all the fun posts we have this month! And you really need to stop by Annie's Paper Boutique for this fabulous twine and adorable mini cups while they are on sale!!

Have a great day!!
