You're one in a Melon!

I am loving the Preserves cartridge right now, especially since I have My Pink Stamper's Fruit & Veggie Puns stamps :-)

I cut the big watermelon at 2 1/2 inches and the smaller watermelon at 1 1/2 inches.  There are 4 layers for these and it makes it so easy to put together!  The stamp is a MPS stamp and then I just used cardstock, some self-stick gems and stickles.  This went together so quickly!

Don't forget my giveway--it's one post down!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #20 and A Giveaway!!

I started out making a hippo card, but ended up with a lamb--LOL!  It's perfect for the Fantabulous Cricut Monday Challenge.  Here's what I used:

Easter Cart for all lamb cuts -- 3 1/2 inches
MPS More Punny-licious stamp
Pattern paper
Martha Stewart Punch
Pearl stick-ons
White ribbon

I also have a giveaway!  You may remember that I won an awesome prize package from the Cuttlebug Challenges Blog.  I had these already, so I thought I would do a giveaway today since I hit 200 followers.  I have a double of one more thing that I'll save for a later date to giveaway:-)

Here are the folders I already had so someone else benefits!  Birds & Swirls, Happy Birthday, Snowflake, Swiss Dot (favorite!), Spots & Dots and D'vine Swirl (other favorite!).  All you need to do to win is leave a comment on this post by 5pm Sunday, August 1st.  Please leave a way for me to contact you if you do not have a blog.  I'll draw a winner (random.org) and post Sunday night.

Thanks everyone for visiting!!

A Cherry Hello!

I have really been wanting to use my new Preserves cartridge and finally had a chance.  It's not very involved, but I love the way it turned out!

Cherries from Preserves cut at 3 1/2 inches
MPS Fruit & Veggie Puns
Bazzill Cardstock for cuts and background
Self-stick ribbon
White Signo Pen for accents
iRock

I was just in love with the idea of the iRock, but it dissapointed me tonight.  It stopped working before I was done and I had to glue one last gem down.  I hope it will work again (this was only the 2nd time I've used it), or I'll try to get a replacement.

Oh, and since I've hit 200 followers, I think I'll do a giveaway tomorrow!!  Thanks so much to all my followers, new and old :-)

USA Card

I'm slowly working on cards for a card swap I'm in.  We're doing 16 cards -- 1 for each month plus 4 more.  So here's one for July.  I used the Independence Day mini and cut the hat out at 3 1/2 inches.  I used the Gypsy so was able to do the band and the stars in different colors.  I added yellow stickles to the stars and white faux sticking around the rim.  The stamp is a Studio G, I think and the ribbon was some old Stampin' Up! that I'm almost out of.  Then I just finished it off with some skittles.  I'm not sure where the patterned came from, it was just in my stash.

I have to say that using my Gypsy makes creating so much easier and faster.  I usually design while hanging out with my family.  The hardest part is picking out the papers, but this one was super fast today :-)

Peachy Keen Challenge 33

I made this card for the Peachy Keen Challenge this week. It's a sketch challenge.  I used the PKS Happy Bird stamp and the branch from the Home Decor cartridge.  I flipped it so it would cut the other way, but for some reason, one of them cut thinner.  So I cut the other one down to match, and it worked out the right way any way.  I also used the Cuttlebug D'vine Swirl folder, an EK Success Punch and some stickles on the branches.  The gems came from my new i rock!  I think it's going to be fun to use on other things besides paper :-)  Last, but not least is the stamp from My Pink Stamper's Punny-licious set -- just love these!!

Fantabulous Cricut & The Cuttlebug Spot Christmas in July

The Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog and The Cuttlebug Spot both have Christmas is July challenges this week.  I was planning on making two different cards, but it worked out!  The Fantabulous Cricut rules are to use  Cricut cuts and The Cuttlebug Spot, you need to use embossing.
 Here the receipe:

Christmas Solution Cartridge--tree and all parts cut at 4 inches
Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder
Yellow and White Stickles
Green Snowflake ribbon

My husband says it needs something else since there's only 3 colors.  He suggested I add red dots to the tree, but I'm not so sure. I actually like the simple design.  He usually just says 'whatever' when I show him my creations.  Plus, I didn't ask today, he's just in the room while I'm typing this up and offered his opinion :-)

My Creative Time Throwback Thursday

I love to play along with Emma at My Creative Time for her Throwback Thursday.  She is an amazing designer and has just announced her 1st Gypsy DVD for presale!!  I can't wait to see it!

This week, the challenge called for the Celebrations cartridge with a birthday theme.  I always need birthday cards so this is perfect!  All the cuts are from this cartridge.  The scallop background is 4.5 inches square.  Then, I tried something new and layered 3 presents with pop dots for dimension cut at 3 inches.  I don't think you can see this on the picture though.  I cut everything on my Gypsy so I was able to cut the tag apart from the ribbon 3.5 inches.  This allowed me to use a My Pink Stamper Friends & Family greeting on the tag.  I used some pretty pink ribbon and tied it like a bow on a present.  I finished it off with some white Signo accents.  The size of this card is 5 x 5 inches.

It is very pink--I guess I'm in a Pink mood right now!

Smile!

I made this card several days ago for the Cricut Circle Creative Escape contest going on this week.  All the cards are going to be donated to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.   I used Home Decor for the flower and leaf which are cut at 2 1/2 inches.  The smile came from Walk in My Garden but I don't remember how big since my Gypsy ran out of battery and I put the cartridge in and cut it :-)  All the paper is Bazzill Basic and the Cuttlebug folder is Birds and Swirls.  I added the green sticky ribbon, some stickles, a little ink on the flower, and pop-dotted everything on.

I loved the colors of this one!

With Love

I was starting to make an Anniversary card for my parents and all I could think of was hearts.  But this is a little pink so it'll be for a swap I'm in.  I need 16 cards, 1 for each month plus 4 so I  have lots of cards to make!

All the paper is Bazzill.  I was making a card last night for the Bazzill Circle challenge so it was all out already.  I used D'vine Swirl folder for the background (I think that is my favorite!) and Swiss Dots for the heart (my 2nd favorite!).  The cut came from Accent Essentials and are 3 inches.  The with love is embossed on the bottom and came with my Rasberry Cuttlebug.  I inked it a bit so you could see it.  I added pink self-stick ribbon, white Signo pen for the stiching and pop-dotted the heart on.

This was a very easy card to put together!

My Creative Time Throwback Thursday

I made this card for Emma's Throwback Thursday at My Creative Time.  The challenge this week is Wild Card with your favorite holiday.  I made a New Year's Card--not because it's my favorite, but because I can use it in a swap I'm in :-)

I cut everything at 5 inches (I think, my Gypsy ran out of juice).  I even made the matching envelope.  The card paper is Mica that I don't have much of.  It's wonderful paper!  I used the D'vine Swirl Cuttlebug folder and black stickles to pop out the features on the envelope.

I have lots more projects in the works, but have family coming in town Sunday for only a day and 1/2.  But I hope to get some more done when my Gypsy is finished charging!

A Horse of a Different Color

I have had such a busy week!  I just made this card 1 hour before my daughter needed to leave for her BFF's little sister's party.  It is not always a good idea to wait for the last minute, but since it's for a 5 year old, it'll be fine :-)

This little girl loves My Little Pony, so my daughter wanted me to change the Zebra from Paisley into a horse.  I just love that you can hide some of the pieces on the Gypsy!  She wanted me to make a pink card and I think this worked!  I used a pink marker to add some color to the mane.  All the cuts are 3 inches and the patterned paper is by Doodlebug.  I just had to add some stickles, so I used my heat gun to try to dry quicker.  This does make it bubble, but I just put in on the flower, wheel middles and ear.  I added the

The stamp is from MPS Friends and Family!

Not my best work, but my daughter thought it was cute!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #18

I made this card for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #18.  This week the challenge is to make a cool sweet treat with an optional shape card.  I wanted to try the shape so I used the card feature for the ice cream sundae on the Sweet Treats Cartridge.  The size is 6 1/2 for the card and all the pieces.  This is actually a small card, but I thought it was cute.  I pop dotted the whipped cream and cherry and they are also stickled.  I also added some white gel pen to the ice cream.  Then I stamped the So Cool at the bottom from MPS Punny-licious set.

And I wanted to share a picture of this fun package I won from the Cuttlbug Challenges Blog!  There's a Rasberry Cutlebug with folders, 2 quilling kits (rose/carnation & daisy) and 7 cartridges!!!  Can you believe it?!  Preserves and Serenade are in there--I've been really wanting both!  And there's Summer Vacation, Independence Day, Mother's Day, Easter and Superman.

I don't know what to make first!  But, I do have to sync to my Gypsy so I can get started.  I can't believe I have to work this week--I hope my kids don't want too much from me :-)

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #17

I decided to try out the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog this week.  The challenge this week was to use a bug and the color orange somewhere.  I've been wanting to make a bag from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More so that's what I went with.  I used my Gypsy and turned the bag a bit so I could cut it at 6 1/4 inches.  I used a white Signo pen to do the stiching around the whole bag.  Then I cut the web at 4 inches and spider at 5 inches from Paper Doll Dress Up.  I added some white pen features to the spider and a bit of black stickles to it's feet.  It's finished off with some black ribbon and green filler (from my Circle box).

I just love this little bag and will probably make more for little gifts!

My Creative Time Throwback Thursday

I just love to play in challenges, just don't always have the time.  But, I have been able to do Emma's http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ Throwback Thursdays lately :-)  This week you were to use the Zoobaloo cartridge and make it an animal themed project.  Now, I don't have that one so I used Animal Kingdom. I cut the monkey (with shadow) and the bananas at 3 1/2 inches.  The pattern paper is DCWV Safari kids stack.  I used the white pen to color in the top part of the banana and yellow stickles are on the bottom.  The monkey needed a little something so I used a black pen to highlight his features.   The stamp is from MPS Punny-licious set--I have been wanting to use this one!

I might send this card for a card swap I'm in so I made two.  The other one has brown paper for the background.  I thought it would make a cute boy Valentine card!

Have a great day!

Escape

This card was made with the Gypsy Wanderings Cartridge.  I cut the sun and it's shadow at 2.75 inches and the Escape at 2 inches.  I used Bazzill paper and DCWV Flower Power Spring Stack for the yellow (sun top layer) and blue (background) glitter paper.  The ribbon is American Crafts and I used a white pen for the stitching and added some flower bling to the E.  Pretty simple for me today--I was coming up empty and just was playing around in my Gypsy trying to come up with something :-)

Birthday Card

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend! We had family over on Sunday for the 4th and to celebrate a birthday. Then my husband only had Monday off, so we had a day of fun. (I took the rest of the week off--yay!)

My husband's grandmother is going to be 92 next week, so I needed another birthday card. She loves pink so I incorporated that.

Here's what I used:
French Manor Cricut Cart Bird & Branch cut at 2 1/2 inches (I think)
Bazill Basics Berry Blush, Carob, & Carob Cream cardstock
DCWV Safari Kids patterned paper
MPS Friends & Family Happy Birthday stamp
American Crafts ribbon
Martha Stewart Edge Punch
white pen

I took the picuture with plenty of light, but it's not showing the colors very well--there's a bit of orange in that patterned paper.  I think if you click on the picutre, you can see it a bit better.  And I just love that ribbon!  I got it in Archiver's.  It's very nice ribbon and has a color on the other side as well.

Oh, I have a blog button now!  Pam at The Posh Box installed it for me yesterday.  Isn't it cute?!

Have a wonderful day!

My Creative Time Throwback Thursday

I want to thank everyone for all the really sweet comments and new followers I've gotten in the last few days since the My Pink Designer announcement. I appreciate everyone!! It has really just been the best week and I can't wait to see what Robyn has in store for all of us!

I love everything Emma (My Creative Time) makes and wanted to play along with her Throwback Thursday. This week she asked everyone to use New Arrival and make something with a baby theme. If you don't have this cart, just use an older one to keep with the Throwback part of the challenge. http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ I don't have this one, so I used the baby buggy off of Stretch Your Imagination. Here's the supplies I used:

  • Stretch Your Imagination cuts at 3 1/2 inches

  • Die Cut with a View Baby Boy Text paper

  • D'vine Swirl Cuttlebug folder

  • Baby Blue Stickles

  • White pen for stitching

  • My Pink Stamper Friend & Family stamp (baby on buggy)

  • Blue Ribbon

  • Pop Dots
Sorry the picture is a little light, I should really take my pictures during the day! I just get excited and want to post :-)
