Trendy Twine -- Me & U Card

Hello there!

I'm posting over at Twine It Up! with Trendy Twine and today I made a shaker card! I used Totally Red Trendy Twine, a stamp from the You & Me Planner Stamp Set, and sequins from the Christmas Shaker Medley

I started out with some red cardstock for my base.  Then I found some red patterned paper for the front that I cut my heart into.  I then glued my Totally Red Trendy Twine around the heart and added a bow at the bottom.

For the inside shaker sequins, I picked through the Christmas Shaker Medley and pulled out out some clear, red and red seed beads.  I also added some white seed beads from my stash. There are some square red sequins, but I do like them in the heart.  I also glued some of the same sequins on the card front.

I used a die cut for the stamped sentiment coming off the heart where I added another sequin.  Additionally, I glued a strip of the Totally Red Trendy Twine on the end to look like the tag is under the twine (it could have been if I knew what I was adding before I glued everything down!).

Lots of foam tape later and my card is finished!  I hope you visit the store for all the deals this month before they disappear!

Trendy Twine -- XOXO Treats

Hello everyone!  I'm posting over at Twine It Up with Trendy Twine Today and  I have some quick and easy non sweet treats to show you.  I used the Skinny Candy BagsTotally Red Trendy Twine, and the You & Me Planner Stamp Set.

I cut the heart tag from my Cricut Machine.  I think they came from the Doodlebug cartridge.  After putting the pencils in the Skinny Candy Bags and sealing them, I punched a small hole in the top and thread my Totally Red Trendy Twine through the hole and around the top two times.  Then I put the twine through the tag hole and tied a bow--easy peasy!

I just knew the XOXO stamp from the You & Me Planner Stamp Set would be perfect with the pencils.  I found the pencils at the Target Dollar Spot -- love that place :) I also used some red Nuvo Drops all around the heart.  Those are so fun to use!

Growing In Unity -- Day 5

Happy Friday everyone! I am so glad it's the weekend yet a bit sad that my Growing in Unity week is over.  But I will continue to play with my Unity Stamps, especially since I have some I haven't used yet -- LOL!

Today, I used Swagger -- I just love this little guy and have used it before. I used my Zig Clean Color Markers again as a watercolor with a paint brush.  Then I added some Clear Wink of Stella to allthe hearts and the word sending.

The edge dies are from My Favorite Things.  These are really fun to use.  I added a border and bow of Lemon Tart Trendy Twine.  The last things I used was some pink Nuvo Drops.  I have quite a few but am still hesitant to use them.  I really don't know why since I do love them!

Be sure to leave a comment for your chance to win 25 random stamps and don't miss out on the great sale Unity has for Angela's birthday which is today--Happy Birthday Angela!!

Have a wonderful day and weekend!!

Growing In Unity -- Day 4

Hello all!  Today is Day 4 of my Growing in Unity Week. Today I used a newer set called Love to Go kit. I am not a coffee drinker but I do know a few. I love the double chocolate chip frappuccino personally :)

This would be fun to stick a gift card in for my daughter for Valentine's day.  She does drink some coffee, but her favorite is the 'pink drink' lately.

This was colored with my Zig Clean Color markers. I have started collecting some Copics but I really have not gotten the hang of them yet. I also need to find the right paper to use to color them on. The fun twine is Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine :)

Unity Stamp Company is having a fabulous sale right now. You should be sure to check it out!

Have a fabulous day!!

Growing In Unity -- Day 3

Hello everyone! Today is Day 3 of my Growing in Unity Week.  Unity Stamp Company is just the best--they always have great sales, include free gifts in your order, have great customer service, and give people opportunities like this!

For my card today I used Let Your Dreams Bloom. It's one of my favorite sets that I have used before.  I just love the flowers and all the sentiments that come in the set.

I used my Zig Clean Color markers to color this. I am really trying to work on shading and not just have one straight color on the whole thing. That's why I love to be a GIU gal--I really take the time to color my Unity Stamps.

I did add some Clear Wink of Stella to the flowers (not sure you can see it). The white layer is a die from My Favorite Things.  Then I added some self stick pearls to keep it on the simple side.  Some days I add a lot to a card and others I like to keep simple :)

Be sure to leave a comment for your chance to win 25 random stamps! I will pick two winners.

Have a great day!

Growing in Unity -- Day 2

Hello!  I'm back with day  2 of my Growing in Unity week.  Today, I used my newest owl stamp that I recently purchased -- My Kinda Favorite Owl.  I work at a University in Georgia whose mascot is an owl, and Unity makes the cutest owls, so I tend to buy them all :)

I colored with my Zig markers again and added a bit of  Clear Wink of Stella to the cute ladybug and the heart the owl is holding.

Be sure to leave a comment for a chance to win 25 random stamps!

Have a great day!

Growing in Unity -- Day 1

Hello everyone!  I am so excited to be a Growing In Unity Gal again this week. I will be posting on my blog a new card every day this week.  I will be picking two people from all the comments this week to win 25 random stamps from Unity.

For my first day today, I used the June 2016 Sentiment Kit -- Succulent Salutations. I'm pretty sure I bought this when it came out and this is the first time I am using it ;)

This set has 14 sentiments and 4 images. I really feel that the sentiment kits are a great purchase! I colored the image with my Zig Clean Color Markers. I used the markers as is and also as a watercolor.

I thought I could use this as a birthday card. It seems I always need those, but don't always make them. This year I hope to do better.

Be sure to leave a comment today and every day this week for your chance to win!

Have a great day!
