My Pink Stamper Fun and Spooky Challenge

Hi everyone!  Today, My Pink Stamper is having a Fun and Spooky Challenge.  Make sure to visit her blog to check out the challenge and the rest of the Design Team's projects :-)

I made a card and decorated a candle.  It's been really fun to make some home decor items lately.  I won't be able to burn this candle, but I usually don't anyway.

Here are the details for the card:
  • Ghost from Paper Doll Dress Up cut at 3 3/4 inches
  • My Pink Stamper Spooky Puns stamp
  • Recollections Halloween stack
  • Martha Stewart web punch
  • orange ribbon
  • iRock gems (on the ribbon)
  • black pen for stitching
I punched the card base and a separate black strip to make the layers.  Also, I put a black strip on the inside of the card behind the web.

And here are the details for the candle:
  • 3 ghosts from Paper Doll Dress Up cut at 2 3/4 inches
  • I just had the candle on my shelf
  • My Pink Stamper Spooky Puns stamp
  • Recollections paper that matches the card
  • Orange ribbon
  • i Rock gems
  • black pen for stitching
I wrapped the paper around the candle and just used my ATG to hold.  I also used the ATG on the ribbon as well.  Then, very carefully, I adhered the gems with the iRock.  You do need to be careful, if you hold it too long the candle will melt.  Then I just put adhesive down the middle of the ghosts and placed them around the candle. I stamped the Boo in black ink and stamped in on paper, then the ghosts, so it wouldn't be too dark.

I hope you enjoyed--this was fun to make!!  Don't forget to visit My Pink Stamper.

Winner and a small box

Hi everyone!  I was hoping to have a project to show you, but I had to finish a DT project and my Serenade post for this week.  But, my daughter (she's 11) had a book project to do make some things for.  She asked for a small box.  Well, I have Tags, Bags, Boxes and More so I pulled that out, of course!

She wanted the square box and I punched in 5 inches.  She thought that was too big, but it is small! So I cut this out at 6 inches and it's still pretty small.  But it has to go in a brown lunch bag with some other things, so it's perfect   She just picked some plain blue cardstock and used some silver cording to go around it.  And I had a sheet of circles, so she just punched a hole in it and tied it on.  We also added to glam rocks with the iRock.

Well, now that I made you read all that, I'll announce the winner of the My Pink Stamper Spooky stamp set is Nicole!!

Nicole said:  I love looking at your ideas, you are so creative. Thanks for the chance to win such a great stamp set!

I have your email Nicole, so look for a message from me!  I am planning another giveaway soon--I forgot that my 1 year blog anniversary was September 9th!  So I'm going to plan a great giveaway in the next week or so.

Check back Thursday for a My Pink Stamper post!!

Playing with Serenade by Flowerdisco and Friends Week 2

It's week two for the Serenade Series! This week I have image #11, one of the butterflies. I was going to try to make a shaped card, but it didn't really work very well for me. I'll have to try again when I have more time. This turned out to be a very pink card! I could have used this for My Pink Stamper's post yesterday--LOL!

Here are the details:
  • Butterfly cut at 3 inches
  • I used two differnt shades of Bo Bunny's Back to Basics dot paper
  • Frosted Lace Stickles on the swirly layer
  • i Rock hot rocks
  • pink ribbon
  • Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder
  • My Pink Stamper Buggy Punnies stamp

Here's close up of the butterfly. You can see that I used dimensional tape to pop it up and let the edges curl a bit. This really does look so much better in person.

Make sure to visit everyone else's blogs to see there projects for the week!

Don't forget to enter to win a My Pink Stamper stamp set! Just leave a comment on Tuesday's post.

My Pink Stamper Design Team Project

Hi everyone!!  I'm so excited to post another My Pink Designer Post today :-)  I made a card and a box for today.

Here are all the details:

  • My Pink Stamper Everyday Life stamps (I used two from this set)

  • Sweet Treats cartridge for the box (box and layers, 6 inches) and cupcake (3 inches)

  • TCP Studios Birthday Party Dots Paper

  • i Rock Hot Rocks

  • Waterfall and Frosted Lace Stickles

  • Gold Cord

  • American Crafts Ribbon

  • Gold Eyelet
I have a tip that I learned when making the layers for the box.  I cut out 2 layers, one for each side.  But when I first did this, one of the sided was flipped.  So I re-cut everything and flipped one of the presents and bow on my Gypsy.  This made it go on properly.  And those green shreds peeking out are from the filler from my Circle box :-)

Contest is over--Thanks for playing!
I think it's time for another giveaway!  I have a My Pink Stamper Spooky Puns stamp set up for grabs. (Thanks to Robyn!!)  Please just leave one comment, per person and a way for me to contact you.  I will keep this open until Sunday night, September 26.  Good luck!

Snail Mail

I just love the Paisley cartridge!!  I think I've made a lot of cuts off of it and I have a few more I really want to do.

Today, I used the snail cut.  It cuts very big!  I cut this out at 3 inches and the other day, I cut out the dragonfly at 3.75 inches.  There is such a big size difference!  I went with it anyway and just made it into a fun card.

Here are the details:
  • Snail from Paisley Cartridge cut at 3 inches
  • My Pink Stamper More Punnylicious stamp
  • Ribbon--from stash
  • iRock Glam Rocks
  • White Signo Pen for stitching
  • Pattern paper is KI Memories Princess Pack
I'm really please with how it turned out!

Playing with Serenade by Flowerdisco and Friends Week 1

Hi everyone!  Welcome to a Seranade Cartridge Series.  Agnes, aka Flowerdisco, wanted to do another card series.  I, along with 5 other ladies joined in with her.  We will all be creating with an image a week for about 7-8 weeks and you'll get to see all the images on this cartridge.  This week I had #4--the pear.

Here are the details for my card:
  • Serenade Image number 4 cut twice at 3 inches
  • Dvine Swirl Cuttlebug folder
  • My Pink Stamper Fruit & Veggie Puns stamp
  • Frosted Lace Stickles
  • iRock gems
  • American Crafts Ribbon
I used two different heights of pop dots to make one pear lower than the other.  I used stickles in the swirls and on the leaves.  I love the layers for this cartridge.  There's a shadow (I didn't use this), base, swirly top layer and the leaf cut.  This is the 1st time I've used it since I got it and I think this is such a cute cartridge and very easy to work with.

Now, make sure to visit everyone else's blogs.  Here's a peek at their wonderful creations, but go visit and leave sweet comments!

I hope you enjoyed!

Fall Fun Scrapbook Page

Here's another layout.  This one is from the year I'm trying to finish--2001.  I went a little out of order to get to fall, and made another 12 x 12.  I had been scrapping 8 1/2 x 11 but now really do love this size.  I'll have to find a place mid year to start the 12 x 12 I guess!

I used Every Day Paper Doll for one leaf and Create a Critter for the other.   I took the one from Create a Critter and made it 5 inches.  Then I used Alphalicious to spell fun at 1 1/4 inches, welded it into the leaf to cut it out inside it.  Then I cut out another at 2 1/2 inches.  The leaves from EDPD are cut at 6 inches.

Here are the rest of the details:
  • Paper is from the Imaginsce Apple Cider Collection
  • iRock on the leaves
  • Frosted Lace Stickles around edges of leaves
  • American Craft ribbon
  • White Signo pen for 'stitching' and journaling around the pages
  • Fun picutres from when my kids were little!
I have lots of projects I need to do but I seem to be putting those off!  Must get busy:-)

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #36

Sorry there wasn't a post yesterday.  We had some family time on Tuesday night and played a board game together.  We should really do that more often!
I made this card for the the new Peachy Keen challenge this week.  I didn't use any Cricut on it (gasp!).  It was late and I really wanted to make something but not wake up my daughter.  The challenge this week is a color and sketch challenge.  Here's my take on it!
  • Peachy Keen Happy Bird Stamp
  • My Pink Stamper Tweet Hoo Puns stamp
  • EK Success border punch
  • white ribbon
  • 1 blue skittle
  • Frosted lace Stickles for wings and cheeks (you can click the picture to see the sparkle better!)
I used colored pencils for the bird and used a blending pen to even out the color.    Make sure to visit the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog to see the sketch and enter yourself.  There's a great prize this week :-)

  • My Pink Stamper  Everyday Life stamp set
  • Dvine Swirl Cuttlebug folder

Celebrate Freedom Scrapbook Pages

I know the title of this post sounds like 4th of July, but it was actually an all day concert September 4th  put on by our local Christian radio station .  I won VIP passes, which meant that we had seats and didn't have to bring our own chairs.  We went for about 5 hours and had a blast!  Here's a 2 page layout about our night.  My daughter got pretty close to the front and took most of the picutres which turned out great.  Then she got to meet a few guys from one of the groups and get a picture and an autograph!

Details:
  • Plantin Schoolbook--letters cut at 1 1/4 and 1 inches with shadows
  • Hannah Montana for the music notes and microphone
  • Double-sided patterned paper by Creative Imaginations
  • white pen for around the page 'stitching'
  • iRock gems (a lot)
I usually don't do this much detail for scrapbook pages, especially since it took me a few hours just for these pages-LOL!

Bats About You!

I received My Pink Stamper's Spooky Puns and Everyday Life stamps in the mail yesterday from Stamps Alive and had one hour before I was leaving for my night out.  I threw together this card in about 30 minutes.  It was so quick and easy and I think turned out cute!  Here are the details:
  • October 31st Cartridge Bats cut at 2 inches &1 1/4 inches
  • Recollections Halloween paper
  • iRock gems
  • American Crafts black ribbon
  • Black Stickles
  • Martha Stewart Drippy Goo Punch
  • My Pink Stamper Spooky Puns set
I am going to scrapbook today and/or tomorrow.  Usually, I feel the need to scrap in order and I'm about 9 years behind--LOL!  But there is a challenge I want to enter and I need to scrap about what I did this weekend.  So I was able to get my pictures from Saturday night printed in an hour, so away I go!  I haven't scrapped in ages, so wish me luck that I actually do it :-)  I really want to get back to it.

Bee Happy!

I designed several projects in my Gypsy yesterday while waiting to go in for my son's check up on his fracture (he's doing fine!).  But most of them I can't even show yet!  But I designed this bee card last night and had some time to put it together this morning.

I used Paisley for this cut--it's one of my favs!  I cut the bee out at 3 3/4 inches.  I stickled the wings, cheeks and flower.  Then I added some iRocks to the top corner and some self stick pink ribbon on there.  I think the patterned paper is Doodlebug, but don't remember.  And last, but not least, the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Buggy Punnies that I got really quickly from Hallmark Scrapbook.

It's a beautiful day here and my kids and I are going to Celebrate Freedom, an all day Christian concert, tonight.  I just can't do 12 hours, plus, the groups we like don't start until 5pm.  My husband is a party pooper and is staying home with the dog--LOL!

Have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend!!

Birthday Present

Here's a quick card for today.  I used Sweet Treats for this one today.  I cut the present at 3 3/4 inches and added some white stitching.  I didn't have time to root around all my patterned paper for something birthday, so I just used the same colors of the present and ran two through the Cuttlebug with the Happy Birthday Folder.  This is Bazzill paper and the embossing is very deep on it--love it!   I used another color for the strip in the middle with an EK Success Punch.  The tag also came from Sweet Treats and is cut at 2 1/4 inches.  I added a little twine bow and a My Pink Stamper Friends & Family Stamp.  Not the best lighting--I needed to get a picuture tonight so I can give it to someone tomorrow!

My Pink Stamper New Stamps

Hi everyone!  I was planning on getting so much done this past weekend.  But, we went to a ball game Saturday night and I have been so tired ever since!!  It was a great game though, the Braves were awesome :-)
I finally sat down to cut out this card I planned in my Gypsy.  It did not turn out the way I imagined at all, but I do love it!  I wanted to use My Pink Stamper's new Winter Punnies stamps, especially since they are shipping this week.  Make sure you visit her page to see her retails for ordering details--you really want these!
This mug came from Christmas Cheer and is cut at 4 3/4 inches.  It has some swirls that go above it and a swirl in the cup.  But the cup swirl tore up when cutting so I just added some brown to the back and added some a swirl  of stickles.  The top swirls just didn't work when I decided to use my new Martha Stewart around the page loop punches.  I inked the edges of the loops a bit and added a sheer ribbon.  The cup needed a little something so I  i-rocked it!  And that cute stamp is from MPS Winter Punnies!  I have the Spooky Puns and Everyday life on order and can't wait until they get here!  I'll try to make some more samples with the Christmas Wishes set this long weekend (yay!).
