Halloween Tag

Hello everyone!  I can't believe it's Halloween tomorrow!!  It's also a big birthday in this house, but we don't want to talk about that :)

I just have a really quick tag for you today.  I think it would be cute as the front of a card or just put some magnets on the back for the fridge.

I cut the tag from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More and the rest of the images are stamps from My Thoughts Exactly (pumpkin, eyes) and Close to My Heart (bats).  There's DCWV paper, Teresa Collins accents (orange tulle ribbon, self-stick gems) and stickles.  I finished it off with some fabulous Gray Licorice Trendy Twine that I used on the border :)

Have a great day!!

My 1st Publication Project

Hi everyone!!  You might remember that I mentioned that I was published in the July Cricut Magazine.  I just got my project back today, which reminded me I could post it (probably could have a month ago)!

It's a small card, so I was very surprised that it was picked up :)

I sent this to them back in January!  Have a great day--I hope to do some creating in the next 3 days since I'm off :)

Hello Kitty Halloween

Hi everyone!!  I made these cards last week, but just never got decent pictures until yesterday.   I seem to be having issues getting good pictures indoors right now.  Probably because it's getting darker earlier.  But it was such a beautiful day outside yesterday and my outdoor pictures are actually coming out better right now :)

I made three of these Hello Kitty cards.  One was for someone at work for her niece.  At 1st it was only going to be two, so I could have one extra, but then I remembered that someone else I know loves her and then it turned into 3.  But at least I saved the cuts on my Gypsy so it was easy to do the 3rd.

This 1st one is on an Action Wobble.  The other is just on with pop dots.

Details:

The 'paw prints' cutouts were so super tiny that I just could not get them to cut over well at all.  So I just used the orange stickles for the 'prints' and also the small parts of the bow.  The small yellow nose did cut out ok, but I love to add stickles to the nose anyhow :)

It had seemed cute, but even better when I added the white faux stitching all around.  And I LOVE the Orangesicle Trendy Twine--it is so pretty!!

Well, I also finished another coffin treat box this week too so hope to have that posted tomorrow.  Have a great rest of the weekend!!

Happy Pumpkin

Hello everyone!  Here's a card I originally made for a DT post but I'm really not that fond of it.  There's just something bothering me about it.  But the pumpkin is cute and from Create a Critter 2.  The sentiment is from  the Fright Night Friends set by My Thoughts Exactly.

It shows the awesome Orange Licorice Trendy Twine which we are featuring over at Twine It Up! with Trendy Twine this month :)

Bat Card

Hi everyone!  I have a really quick card for you today.  I made the front part of the card at a swarm I was at 2 weeks ago.  Missie Todd provided a Make and Take for us and supplied all the materials from Close to My Heart for the front.  I added the pattern paper and purple mats from the Moonlight Close to My Heart paper pack.

It made for a quick, fun card!

I hope you all have a great weekend--I am so very glad it's Friday :)

Happy Halloween

Hi everyone!  Today is my post day over at Twine It Up! with Trendy Twine.  I made a super easy card to show you :)

The star of the card is the Orange Licorice Trendy Twine that the design team is featuring this month.  The paper and stamps are all from the Close to My Heart Spellbound kit.  My post from yesterday shows the party from the kit.  There's still more fun paper left to play with too :)

I also added pop dots and some Frosted Lace Stickles to the bat.  Just a quick, easy card!

Please be sure to visit the Trendy Twine blog to see the design team's projects this month.  And we would really love for you to play along with the challenge this month.  It's so fun to see you what you all create and you could win a fun prize!!

Have a great day!

Close to My Heart Cricut Party

Hi everyone!

I have been working off and on for a week on the Close to My Heart Cricut Spellbound Halloween Party Kit.   This has been so much fun!  The kit comes with everything you need to make a banner, 8 party favor bag/boxes, 8 cupcake wraps and toppers, and 8 drink wraps except for ink, glue and anything extra you want to add. This is a very picture heavy post :)

This is an overview picture.  The sun decided to go behind some clouds so it's not the best.  Directions in the kit say to embellish as desired, so I did :)

And here is a picture of the banner.  The kit comes with orange and white twine from Close to my heart.  But I did not like the way it looked with the black.  So I used my Trendy Twine instead.  This banner has the Orange Licorice Twine that is orange and black--goes perfectly with the banner colors!  I also added Frosted Lace Stickles around the starbursts under the boo; orange marker stitching around the owl circles and colored in some of the owls; white marker accents on the letters.  If you click the picture, you can see more up close and the whole banner :)

Here are 2 of the 8 treat bags/boxes.  The directions call for you to use the same orange twine that the kit comes with for both.  But I did not like the orange/white with the gray bag.  So I used Gray Licorice Trendy Twine and it looks so much better! Then I used the same Orange Licorice Trendy Twine from the banner for the orange bag. I added stickles and orange iRock gems to the orange bag and white pen accents and clear iRock gems to the gray.  All stamps shown come with the kit--a full set of stamps!

Here's one of the bottle wraps.  The only thing I added was a matching twine bow.

And here are the cupcake wrappers and toppers.  I pop dotted the bat on, but other than that, nothing was added.  I love the pins that go in the cupcakes.  And yes, I made cupcakes just so I could show off the holders :)  My daughter said I could probably have found something fake to take the picture with, but where is the fun in that?!

You can order this wonderful kit through me--just click on the Close to My Heart link to order yourself, or send me an email and you can get a discount!  There is still paper left over and I will have a card up with some of that extra pattern paperfor my Trendy Twine monthly post tomorrow :)
