My Pink Stamper Color Challenge

I made this shaped card for the MPS Color Challenge. http://www.mypinkstamper.com/ It didn't quite work the way I planned it, but I did get all 4 colors on it! You need to use brown, green, orange and pink. The only pink is the lips, but it's still there! I wanted to add a sentiment, but there is no where to put it on a frog--LOL! I designed this in my gypsy and welded 2 shadow frogs from Mini Monsters together. It didn't fold the way I liked, but the bow at the top hides that :-) Then I cut the rest at the regular size to add the features. I outlined the whole thing with a white pen and added the black eye part with a black marker. No bling today :-( I just didn't know where to bling a frog!

Make a Wish!

I originally designed this card for my MIL's birthday. She loves dogs and has a black one. But I think this would work for a boy's birthday. Not sure yet!

I designed this in my Gypsy. The dog came from Animal Kingdom and had some spots that I took off. The thought bubble came from Indie Art and the bones are from Paper Doll Dress Up. I use way more carts on one card now--LOL! I used a white pen to add some features to the dog. black stitching on the bone and thought bubbles and gold stickles for the dog tag. I had this paper in my stash, but I think it was from Oriental Trading. And the blue rick rack was just in my drawer too! The Make a Wish! is from MPS Friends & Family--these are my new favorites :-)

Peachy Keen Challenge 31, Cuttlebug Spot Independence & New Blog Candy Winner

Wow, is that a long title or what?! This card covers 2 challenges. First, the sketch came from Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog #31. Go over there to see the sketch and this is my take on it! http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/ Next is The Cuttlebug Spot Celebrate Independence Day challenge. You can see that here http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/ I don't usually do 2 challenges in one card, but it worked this time ;-)

I designed the entire card on my Gypsy. I just got this on Saturday and LOVE it!! I can't believe how easy this went together after planning it on there. The circles came from Plantin Schoolbook (I haven't been able to load George yet) and the stars came from Graphically Speaking (love the search feature!). The small rectangle I stamped on came from the Gypsy too. The card size is 5 x 5 inches.

I followed the sketch, and the stamp is from Peachy Keen. I used a marker and just colored in the fire part to stamp around the firecracker. Then I colored everything in with Stampin' Up! markers and stickles on the outside part of the fire. MPS Family & Friends stamp, gold stickles, SU! ribbon and pop dots on the stars and sentiment. The patterned paper was from a Martha Stewart pack I got on clearance a while ago. Last, but not least, I used the Swiss Dot folder through the Cuttlebug on the blue cirle and the stars (just added gold stickles to the dots on the stars)

Finally, I waited over a week and did not hear from one of my winners so I drew another name and it was Flowerdisco! I already heard from her and her package went in the mail Monday.

The Cuttlebug Spot Embossed Tags

I made this tag for The Cuttlebug Spot Embossed Tags challenge this week. http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/ I just got Tags, Bags, Boxes and More from the Cricut Rewards site and had time to play! I cut the Flower tag and the shadow with the hole feature at 4 1/2 inches. I ran the cream layer through the Cuttlebug with the D'vine Swirl folder. I then inked the whole thing with black ink pad. The small flower on top was cut at 2 1/2 inches with no hole. I used a MPS Family & Friends stamp and pink gems all around. The ribbon is some old Stampin' Up! that I just love :-)

Thanks for visiting!

Friends Fur-ever Card

Hi everyone! I hope you all are having a good week so far. Not long till the weekend--Yay!

Another card today. I used Paisely again--just love this cart :-) I cut the dog at 4 1/2 inches. I'm not sure if I got all the layers right, this one was a little confusing. The hula hoop didn't cover the whole bottom layer--I'm not sure why. But I just made it meet in the middle and it popped it out and gave it a 3D effect which I like anyway! The patterned paper (isn't it fun?!) came from My Paper Studio Safari Untamed. I added some white accents to the dog's paws and of course some Stickles (Cotton Candy). The stamp is from My Pink Stamper's Punny-licious set. And the dog was pop dotted on.

It's a lot of purple, but let me know what you think!

Throw Back Thursday at My Creative Time

I am so late posting this! I made this Saturday night for Emma's Throwback Thursday at My Creative Time http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ but wanted to wait until daylight to take a picture. But we had church, then lunch for Father's Day, and then we met friends at Six Flags. I am exhausted!

This week we needed to use Paper Doll Dress Up and alter an item. I used a 6 x 6 inch cork board and covered it with cardstock. I also lined the edges of it with orange ribbon (not sure you can see this) Then I used a 4 inch paper doll and used the girl pirate dress. The face stamp is from Peachy Keen (love these!). I used a white pen to add some doodling to make the cuts stand out a bit more. With the map, used a black pen. I used some brown skittles at the top. The black mat is for a picture. I am planning on using this as a wall hanging after we go to Disney in the Fall. My daughter is going to be a pirate girl while we're there for a Halloween party!

Forever Young Purse and Card

I wanted Forever Young especially for the purses. I love purses and my family groans when I stop to look at them--LOL! When I sat down to create something tonight I planned on the purse, but then decided to make a card to go with it. I love how it turned out!

I set the expression to fit to page for the purse and it cut out at 5 1/4 inches. When I went to make the flower the same size, it was huge! So I re-cut that out at 2 1/4 inches. I pop dotted it on and curled the edges a bit. Then I added stickles and a Prima pearl to the center.

Next I wanted to use one of the girls on the cartridge. This is number 3 and cut at 6 inches. I tried smaller but didn't like it as much. Since it was so tall, I made the length of the card 7 inches. I used the same paper as the bag for the background and added some pearls (one of the items in the the blog candy!) to her hair and one on her bag. I used some blue ribbon down the side and decorated with the same pearls. Lastly, I stamped Fabulous! from Pink Stamper Friends and Family set in corner of the card. I believe my daughter is going to put a gift card in the purse and give the set to her friend for her birthday this weekend.
Be sure to enter for my blog candy--2 winners will be drawn Friday night! http://craftingcricutmom.blogspot.com/2010/06/blog-candy-giveaway.html

I made this card using the Sweet Treats cartridge. This is cupcake 5 on pg. 28 cut at 3 1/2 inches. The patterned paper is Sweetie Pie Swoon by Bo Bunny and the ribbon is American Crafts. Make a Wish is a Pink Stamper stamp--love those! The pearls are by Prima and I received these from Kristina at Your Memories Here, a great online store http://www.yourmemorieshere.com/ I need to get some more of these! I finished of the card by adding Stickles (Fruit Punch and Frosted Lace), white doodling, and pop dotting the cupcake and the heart.

Throw Back Thursday at My Creative Time

Emma at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ has started Throwback Thursdays. This week the cartridge was Stretch Your Imagination and use blue, red and brown. I didn't have much brown cardstock so my solution was to use the ice cream cone cut and sneak some brown in there. I also used a sizzix embossing folder on the red and the cone. The stamp is from MPS Friends and Family set. The ice cream is a cream paper covered in stickles!

Not my best work, but those aren't my colors--LOL! And I am now on a 2nd round of antibiotics, hopefully my sinus infection will get cleared up and I can think again!

Check back Saturday night, or Sunday for a big blog candy post!!!

Mojo Monday 142 -- Take 2

I decided to try the Mojo Monday sketch again. I wasn't super happy with my 1st card and you can enter multiple times, so I gave it another go!

This time I went with my favorite color to make cards with--Pink (and some green and yellow). I used Forever Young to cut the flower at 2 1/2 inches. I pop dotted between all the layers and added faux stitching to them. I also pop dotted the green square on. I really wanted some dimension this time. I used a MS edge punch, TCP Studio stamp and added the pink ribbon to the top as well as the side of the square. Oh and of course, stickles!! I think I like this one better!

Mojo Monday 142

I made this card for the Mojo Monday challenge this week. You can see the sketch here: http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/ I used Imaginisce background paper and the Wild Card cart. I cut the fireworks at 6 inches from the Star cut. The stamps are some random ones I had in my drawer. Then I doodled the white accents on the square and fireworks and added gold stickles to the stamped stars. The fireworks are pop dotted and I used an edge punch.
I should really take pictures in the daytime so the colors look better!

Disney Countdown

I am so excited!! We are going to Disney World in September--the trip is booked! So I decided to make a visual countdown for my kids. They are both going to be in middle school in August, but this is their 1st time to go to Disney. I used the Mickey Font cart with the Mickey head. I also used the same head with the numbers 9 to 1 and the final head is the one that says Disney. They were all cut at 1 1/2 inches except the final one witch was about 2 1/2 or 3. I stapled them all together so they can pull one off each day.
