Thank you

Hi again!  Lots of posts from me this week.  That's what happens when you make cards for publication calls that don't get picked up :)  Hopefully, the ones I worked on this past weekend will get published this time.

This card was for a Paper Crafts Magazine call for the sketch category. I liked the way it turned out.

Supplies used:

  • Cricut Small Talk Frams & Tags Cartridge
    • Arrow 1 cut at 5" wide x .75" tall; 4.25" wide x .75" tall; 3.75" wide x .75" tall
  • Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine
  • My Creative Time Once Upon a Time Stamp
  • Bazzill, Coredinations, and Imaginsce Paper
  • Close to My Heart Ink
  • Sei adhesive spacers
Have a great day!

Congratulations

Hello!  I have a card that is simple, but I really love this one.  It was for a magazine call--I don't think I will ever get into Paper Crafts Magazine, but I'll keep trying for a bit.  They have very specific calls that are harder for me to come up with something.

So here's my gold card.

Supplies used:
  • DCWV The Gilded Paper Stack
  • Bazzill Black Cardstock
  • Close to My Heart Stamp  (I think)
  • Encore Gold Metallic Tsukineko Pigmint Ink
  • Clear Embossing Powder
  • Cartwrights Sequins
I broke out my embossing gun for this one. It was fun!  I'll need to get some new embossing powders and start playing with heat embossing some more.

Have a fabulous day!

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone!  There's a few cards I've made for different things that have not been posted yet.  So I thought I would post a few this week.

This one has entirely too much bling on it, but it was for a bling challenge and my daughter told me to add all that :)  I really don't add that much on a card any more and probably should have stopped, but we were having fun!

I used Tickled Pink Trendy Twine -- one of my favorites.  The gems are Doodlebug and the dies are from My Creative Time. I pulled the pink pattern paper out of my scrap pile.

Have a great day!

Flower Card

Hi everyone!  I just wanted to post a card I had made for my husband's grandmother for Mother's Day.  She loves flowers so when I saw this make it now card on the Cricut Explore Design Space, I decided to try it out.

There were a lot of flowers and leaves that cut out, but the great part is that all you have to do is load the paper--the cuts are all set up for you.  I didn't use every flower and I'm not sure it looked like the sample, but I did like the way it turned out.  It is a lot of pink, but she thought it was beautiful, so that's all that matters.

On some of the flowers, I did add pop dots for some dimension.  But I didn't take a side shot before I gave it away.  Then, I added stickles to the flowers and finished it off with some Tickled Pink Trendy Twine.

Have a fabulous day!

Trendy Twine We Like You A Latte Blog Hop

Welcome to our We Like You A Latte! Hop.
We are so excited today to be introducing two more twists to the Trendy Twine line up:

Cherry Latte and Krafty Red.  If you have just come from Jessi's blog, you are on the right track.  If not, be sure to head over to Twine It Up! with Trendy Twine and hit all the stops to be eligible to win a prize.

I used the new Cherry Latte Trendy Twine on my card, 3D mug and Wooden Spoon.

The card is from My Scrap Chick and I was able to cut this out on my Cricut Explore machine.  The coffee bean stamp and sentiment are from The Alley Way Stamps Breakfast Club set.

The 3D mug is from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 Cricut Cartridge.  I cut it the biggest I could without going onto a 12x24 mat.  I glued the Cherry Latte around the edge of the top and bottom of the cup and added a bag of Mini M&M's to it.

I used the coffee bean stamp and some black ink to stamp the handle of the wooden spoon.  Then I just added a quick bow to finish it off.

Here is the blog candy up for grabs:

First prize:  A $5 GC and a set of Trendy Page Dots (this is a bundle and stays together.)
These stickers are perfect to dress up your planner pages, notebook pages, or add to tags.

Second prize:  A set of Wood Spoons

We also have some cute stamps from Tara from Craftin Desert Divas

Perfect Pair

Happy Mother Day!

Hi everyone!  A few of us over at Trendy Twine made some special projects to show you today.  I found a quick and simple card ready to make on my Explore Design Space.   I really loved the clean look of it and decided to try it out.

The card was very basic to cut--there's the top, white layer and then it cuts out a bottom, color layer.  I decided to add my Aqua Midnight Trendy Twine with a bow before I glued on the liner.  Then I finished it off with a few stick on gems in the corner.

Easy and I hope a big hit--guess I will find out in a few hours ;)

Be sure to head over to Twine it Up! with Trendy Twine to see the other fabulous projects.

Happy Mother's Day!!

Say it with a Sentiment and Trendy Twine

Hi everyone!  It's time for a new challenge over at Twine It Up! with Trendy Twine and we are posting some projects to give you some inspiration.  The challenge requirements are to have a sentiment as the focal point and use Trendy Twine.

Today, I made a set of 4 3x3 cards to show you today.  I needed some thank you cards so this was perfect timing!

Supplies:

The white ink was not white enough for me so I went over it with my Signo pen--it worked out nicely!

We are spotlighting the solid Trendy Twine colors this month so head over to the store to pick up a few :)  And be sure so visit the Trendy Blog to see all the other great projects from the design team and to enter your own project!
