#1 Star

Hi everyone!  I've bought my domain name and my blog link will change in the next day or two.  It will be CraftingCricutMom.com--which is way shorter now--LOL!

Here's a card for this week's Circle challenge.  We had to make a shape, other than a rectantagle, use a number on there and bling.

Here are the details:
  • Smiley Cards Star shape card cut at 5 1/2 inches
  • Graphically Speaking for top star cut at 5 inches
  • Hannah Montana #1 cut at 7 inches
  • DCWV Flower Power cardstock
  • Yellow Stickles
  • Yellow iRock gems
It was super simple to put together!

I'm hanging today and hope to get some more creating done.  But I had to take the puppy out at 5am and hit the barrier for her at the bottom of the stairs pretty hard.  I have a nasty bump and cut on my leg--it's not pretty.  But at least I can walk a little better now.

I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!!  I have to go back to work tomorrow :(

Good Luck Card

This card was my 1st commision!!  A professor who works in my department knows I make cards and requested a good luck card for a student who is going to be in a national pagent.  I was super nervous, I've never had a card request before!

Here are the details:
  • Tiara from Hannah Montana Cartridge cut 3 times at 3 inches
  • Shiny mirrored paper from The Paper Company for top layer of tiara
  • Coredinations Gemstones White Glove paper for other 2 layers
  • Coredinations Core Couture Blue Diamond paper for bottom layer (click to see it sparkles)
  • Die Cuts with a View for 2nd blue layer
  • Martha Stewart Loopy Edge punch set
  • Good Luck Stamp--not sure of maker
  • Silver embossing powder
  • Silver cording
  • Pop Dots for between layers
  • iRock Gems on the tiara
I have not stamped and embossing a long time and I just love the look!  But, I embossed after I put the cording on and it heated it and made it thin.  So I had to replace part of it.  So be careful!  The above picture shows the dimension of the tiara a bit of the bottom glittery paper.  I adhered the bottom tiara cut to the paper with Zip Dry Glue--that stuff is great!

The card was a hit--Yay!

Celebrate Freedom Scrapbook Pages

I know the title of this post sounds like 4th of July, but it was actually an all day concert September 4th  put on by our local Christian radio station .  I won VIP passes, which meant that we had seats and didn't have to bring our own chairs.  We went for about 5 hours and had a blast!  Here's a 2 page layout about our night.  My daughter got pretty close to the front and took most of the picutres which turned out great.  Then she got to meet a few guys from one of the groups and get a picture and an autograph!

Details:
  • Plantin Schoolbook--letters cut at 1 1/4 and 1 inches with shadows
  • Hannah Montana for the music notes and microphone
  • Double-sided patterned paper by Creative Imaginations
  • white pen for around the page 'stitching'
  • iRock gems (a lot)
I usually don't do this much detail for scrapbook pages, especially since it took me a few hours just for these pages-LOL!
