Love Light Block

Hello!  Here's a quick post for you today.  I've been busy getting ready for our Share the Love Fantabulous Cricut Crawl that starts tomorrow.  Be sure to visit and share in the love and try to win some prizes too!!

Here's a gift I made for a swap on the Cricut MB.  We had a Valentine exchange and needed to make some things to give as well.  So I made a quick glass block.  I only took this one picture and this time I put the design on both sides.  I want to make one for me now too :)  The hearts are from Plantin Schoolbook, cut at 1 inch and 2 1/4 inches and the love came from Home Decor and is cut at one inch.  I used frost glass spray and pink, white and red vinyl.

Have a great day and be sure to visit Fantabulous Cricut tomorrow and join the Crawl!!

Create

This wall decor item is for the Cricut Circle Monthly Challenge.  I really wanted to get this finished before this week, but soccer and DT stuff came 1st!
So it's a really rainy, yucky day so the lighting is not the best!  Here's another shot to see the dimension.

Here are the details:
  • Base cut out of chipboard at 7 inches from Home Decor
  • Flower and flower shadow cut at 3 inches from Home Decor
  • Butterfly and butterfly shadow cut at 2 inches from Home Decor
  • Create and create shadow cut at 2 inches from Home Decor
  • Yellow circle to fill in middle cut at 5 1/2 inches from Plantin Schoolbook
  • Fruit Punch, Cotton Candy and Frosted Lace Stickles
  • i Rock Gems
I cut the base from some chipboard and then cut it again in a yellow polka dotted paper.  The I cut it again in green so I could make the vine and the 'handle' a different color.

I decided I didn't like having an opening in the middle so I used DCWV glitter paper to make a circle to glue to the back.  I completely covered the flower and butterly in stickles and stickled the green parts.  I did use some pop dots to stick the layers together and to put on the create.  And of course, I added some i Rock gems to the word Create!

Peachy Keen Challenge 33

I made this card for the Peachy Keen Challenge this week. It's a sketch challenge.  I used the PKS Happy Bird stamp and the branch from the Home Decor cartridge.  I flipped it so it would cut the other way, but for some reason, one of them cut thinner.  So I cut the other one down to match, and it worked out the right way any way.  I also used the Cuttlebug D'vine Swirl folder, an EK Success Punch and some stickles on the branches.  The gems came from my new i rock!  I think it's going to be fun to use on other things besides paper :-)  Last, but not least is the stamp from My Pink Stamper's Punny-licious set -- just love these!!

Smile!

I made this card several days ago for the Cricut Circle Creative Escape contest going on this week.  All the cards are going to be donated to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.   I used Home Decor for the flower and leaf which are cut at 2 1/2 inches.  The smile came from Walk in My Garden but I don't remember how big since my Gypsy ran out of battery and I put the cartridge in and cut it :-)  All the paper is Bazzill Basic and the Cuttlebug folder is Birds and Swirls.  I added the green sticky ribbon, some stickles, a little ink on the flower, and pop-dotted everything on.

I loved the colors of this one!

You're Sweet Card

I made this card with paper from the Sweet Stack DCWV -- I just love this cherry paper and think it was my last piece. The cherries and leaf were cut from the Home Decor cart. I cut one bigger than the other so the would nest together better and just stickled the heck out of them! The ribbon is red grograin from SU!
I hope to get some scrapping in this weekend, but I do have to clean for Easter company!

The Gypsy Spot Gold & Black Card

Photobucket
I made this for The Gypsy Spot's challenge this week. I do not own a Gypsy (but would really love one), but you don't have to have one to participate!! You can check them out here http://the-gypsyspot.blogspot.com/
I do have Design Studio though and used that to weld together the heart and the word love from Home Decor. I just love that cartridge!! You had to use gold and black for this challenge, which was a bit difficult since I didn't have very good gold paper. I used a "goldish" paper with black. I used the birds and swirls cuttlebug folder on the black and then inked it with a gold ink pad. I used the gold stickles on the entire cut and added some gold ribbon to finish it off!
I'd love to win the prize of Lovestruck this week, so I was glad to have the chance to play!

Pink Cupcake

Well, I was going to scrapbook some more today, but just wasn't motivated. I really wanted some animal print paper for the next pictures, but couldn't go shopping today. I'll look next week.

So I decided to make some cards. this one is pink--my fav color! I was going to send this to someone this week, but this one isn't right for her. I'll just have to make another!! I really need a new camera--this card does look better in person!!

I used Home Decor for the cupcake--I really love it! DCWV Sweet stack is the perfect background paper for it! I stickled the cherry, of course.

Back to work this week, so probably won't get many posts in--Have a good one!

Cupcake Birthday

So I had a day off and all I got done was one card! I decided to try this for scrapsketch and I did need a card for someone. My downfall was the colors!! I wanted to use browns/oranges for it and just didn't have a lot to work with. I just had to go to Michael's to get some ribbon. And since I was there some paper, more ribbon, and stamps--LOL!! I used Home Decor for the Cupcake/cherry.

Home Decor Cherry

I got the Home Decor cart when I saw someone use this cherry. I also love the cupcake. I do want to play with this cartridge some more with some of the other cuts!

The picture is a little blurry. Now that I have a blog, I'll have to do a little better!! The paper is from the DCWV Sweet Stack. And I completely stickled that cherry!!
