The Gypsy Spot Gold & Black Card

Photobucket
I made this for The Gypsy Spot's challenge this week. I do not own a Gypsy (but would really love one), but you don't have to have one to participate!! You can check them out here http://the-gypsyspot.blogspot.com/
I do have Design Studio though and used that to weld together the heart and the word love from Home Decor. I just love that cartridge!! You had to use gold and black for this challenge, which was a bit difficult since I didn't have very good gold paper. I used a "goldish" paper with black. I used the birds and swirls cuttlebug folder on the black and then inked it with a gold ink pad. I used the gold stickles on the entire cut and added some gold ribbon to finish it off!
I'd love to win the prize of Lovestruck this week, so I was glad to have the chance to play!

The Cuttlebug Spot--All About 10 layout

Photobucket

Now that I have a Cuttlebug, I'm so excited that I can join in The Cuttlebug Spot challenges! You can visit them here http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/

There challenge this week is All About 10. The only thing I could think of was my daughter's 10th birthday last year. I really am a chronological scrapper and am currently in the year 2001 (yes, I am a bit behind!). But last years pictures were on my desk so I went ahead and scrapped one. Now I'll just have to remember to put this somewhere and not loose it!

I'm still a 81/2 x 11 scrapper and have been thinking of going 12x12 but haven't made the leap yet. This was a super easy page, once I figured out which cut to use! The "10" on the side is from Graphically Speaking--I love all those jumbled words! I ran that through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dot folder (I had to do this a few times to get the whole thing) and inked it with a darker blue ink. I'm not sure where the patterned paper came from, but that is basically it!

Luv Bug--Mojo Monday Week 21

Photobucket
I made this card for the Mojo Monday challege. They have awesome sketches every week--check them out right here: http://http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/
The ladybug and hearts are from Doodlecharms--this is such a great cartridge!! I used a MS punch for the border at the top and some $1 bin ribbon. The stamp is from Studio G. I think the paper is MS that I found on clearance, but I'm not sure. I added stickles for a little bling!
Thanks for looking!!
