Trendy Twine -- Happy Spring!

Hello everyone! It's my turn to post over at Twine It Up! with Trendy Twine. I made a quick spring card to show you. I used Grape Fizz Trendy Twine and the new Grape Fizz Sequins.

The flowers are from the Cricut Create a Critter Cardridge.  I wrapped my Grape Fizz Twine around the card, stamped my sentiment on, and pop-dotted the flowers on.  It needed something else so I grabbed my Grape Fizz Sequins and added some to the card.  You can't tell very well from the picture, but I did add a clear Wink of Stella Pen to the dark purple flower to add some sparkle.

Trendy Twine -- Fly!

Hello!  I'm posting over at Twine  It Up!  with Trendy Twine Today.  I used the Grape Fizz Trendy Twine along with the new Grape Fizz Sequin Mix. 

I decided to try out making two shaker windows in the card. The plan was to used the purple polka dot paper on top, but that was too much purple with the butterflies.  I pulled out white paper, but that was to plain. So I took a purple distress ink pad and used it as watercolor.  I just swished it on the card stock making brush strokes.  

I used my Grape Fizz Trendy Twine to cover the circle openings and to cover the 'trail' that I stamped. Then I added some more Grape Fizz Sequins on the card too.  The sentiment is embossed at the bottom.

You Make Me Smile

Hello! Here's a quick card for the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge.

I used the MFT Warm & Fuzzy Card Kit--the moose is just to cute! I added in the arrow from one of the MFT Blueprints.  The circle die, ribbon and sequins are not from the kit either.

Birthday Flowers

Hi everyone!  Just a quick post today to share a birthday card I made for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog.  It's their 7th Birthday and they are giving away 7 $50 Gift Certificates to their store. All you have to do to enter is make a birthday card!

I made my card with items from the April Simon Says Card Kit.  Except for the die--that if MFT Stamps Die.  I based my card on a sample in the sheet they include with the kit, but changed it up a bit.  The stamp set is called Birthday Flowers.  I stamped the flowers and fussy cut them out.

Trendy Twine -- Flower Pillow Boxes

Hello everyone!  It's my turn to post over at Twine It Up! with Trendy Twine today.  This month, we are featuring the wonderful Grape Fizz Trendy Twine.  I think I say this a lot, but this is one of my favorites ;)

 

I decided to use the the Clear Small Pillow Boxes for my project today.  I filled them with some Hershey Kisses.  Then I wrapped my Grape Fizz Trendy Twine around the long side of the box and tied a bow off to the side.  

To decorate it, I used a flower die (MFT Stamps Bluepirnts 12) that I cut out on both sides of a 2-sided pattern paper.  Then I used a normal pop dot and made my flower center by swirling the twine right on top, down the sides and tucked it under the bottom so it would stick.  I think it looks fun :)
