Create

This wall decor item is for the Cricut Circle Monthly Challenge.  I really wanted to get this finished before this week, but soccer and DT stuff came 1st!
So it's a really rainy, yucky day so the lighting is not the best!  Here's another shot to see the dimension.

Here are the details:
  • Base cut out of chipboard at 7 inches from Home Decor
  • Flower and flower shadow cut at 3 inches from Home Decor
  • Butterfly and butterfly shadow cut at 2 inches from Home Decor
  • Create and create shadow cut at 2 inches from Home Decor
  • Yellow circle to fill in middle cut at 5 1/2 inches from Plantin Schoolbook
  • Fruit Punch, Cotton Candy and Frosted Lace Stickles
  • i Rock Gems
I cut the base from some chipboard and then cut it again in a yellow polka dotted paper.  The I cut it again in green so I could make the vine and the 'handle' a different color.

I decided I didn't like having an opening in the middle so I used DCWV glitter paper to make a circle to glue to the back.  I completely covered the flower and butterly in stickles and stickled the green parts.  I did use some pop dots to stick the layers together and to put on the create.  And of course, I added some i Rock gems to the word Create!

  1. What a beautiful craft! It is stunning. I love all the little details. Do you have a hard time cutting chip board on your expression? I have been having difficulties with mine.

  2. No problems, but it's not the really strong chipboard. And I am using the deep cut blade.

  5. Helen,

That is incredibly beautiful!!! :) Is that to hang on a door (is the top loop sturdy/big enough)?

Thank you so much for sharing,

  6. It can hang on a door. It's not super sturdy, but it's not heavy so can hang pretty well and it is wide enough. But I just have it in my scrap area.
