You're Sweet Card

I made this card with paper from the Sweet Stack DCWV -- I just love this cherry paper and think it was my last piece. The cherries and leaf were cut from the Home Decor cart. I cut one bigger than the other so the would nest together better and just stickled the heck out of them! The ribbon is red grograin from SU!
I hope to get some scrapping in this weekend, but I do have to clean for Easter company!

Bunny Card

I made this card using the bunny from Doodlecharms. I just think he's so cute! I didn't have a good Happy Easter stamp before I made this (now I do) so I just used a Hello stamp (again). I cut a purple shadow for the bunny, chalked the ears, used marker on the whiskers & mouth and stickled his pink cut out nose. The paper was from DCWV, I think.Helen

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 25 -- Bee Card

I made this card for the Peachy Keen Stamps challenge. I used the Paisley cartrige again--I just love this one. I cut the bee at 3 inches and the separate flower at 1 1/2 inches. I used vellum for the bee's wings. The ribbon is American Crafts and I used a Martha Stewart punch.

Fabulous!

A few weeks ago I won a $30 Custom Crops gift card from a blog hop. (Thanks again!) It was Donna at: http://http://donnamundinger-popsicletoes.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2010-03-15T00%3A56%3A00-07%3A00&max-results=12

You should visit her over there--she does some great work!!

I ordered the Paisley Cartridge with my certificated and couldn't wait to play!

The turtle and the phrase both came from the cartridge. I stickled the word, cherries, cheeks and eyes. I used the swiss dot folder on the pink cardstock and used pop dots for the turtle. This card totally looks better in person--I really need a new camera! This card is for my daughter to give to her friend at a party today.

Crazy Days

Well, I had such good intentions to post a little more regularly. I don't know what I was thinking since it's soccer season!

I won the Mother's Day Seasonal cartridge from Jenn at http://http://www.jennsscrapbooknook.com/ She has a wonderful blog and where I learned about the Posh Box (the company that did my blog makeover). So I hope to play with that and post some things from that.

I also have the Paisley cartrige on the way from Custom Crops. I can't wait to play with it!!

I did make 2 scrapbook pages this week and need to get some decent pictures before I can post those. But, it's a busy week and I just won some advance tickets to see The Last Song on Thursday night. I'll have to post and let you all know how it is!

Hope to post some creations soon!!

St. Patrick's Day Card #2

Good Morning! Monday this week means back to a regular work week :-( But I'm glad to even have a job to make money to buy Cricut things!

Here's my second card for the Paper Doll Dress Up challenge on the Cricut MB (see yesterday's post). This four leaf clover is also on the cart under the Leprchaun. Yesterday I cut the pot of gold at 5 1/2 inches, but when I tried that with the clover, it was huge! I cut two, one at 3 inches, and one at 2 1/2 to make a layer, since this cart does not do that. I pop dotted both and added fake stitching on the top and stickles on the bottom. The 'ribbon' is Sticky Stitches I've had in my drawer forever. It seems I do not own any plain green ribbon--Gasp! The stamp is from Studio G and I colored in with a gold pen.

I hope you have a fantastic week! I'm going to try to post everyday--we'll see if that happens :-)

St. Patrick's Day Card #1

Happy Sunday everyone! The time change kind of threw me off (plus multiple sleepovers) so we didn't make it to church today. So I have some extra time to create today! I made this card for the Paper Doll Dress Up challenge on the Cricut Message Board. You can only use this cartridge. I didn't want to make any dolls, since I'm out of the good flesh color paper so I decided to make St. Patrick's day cards (I'll post another one tomorrow!).

This cartridge has so many extras, you don't need to make dolls all the time. This pot of gold was on the Leprechan cut. I cut it at 5 1/2 inches and used stickles to embellish. The 4 leaf clover border is also on the cartridge. I used a Studio G stamp at the bottom and some bling.

I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the weekend--I'm going to try to scrapbook today!

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 24

Hi everyone! I'm so glad it's the weekend. It has been a very busy week in my house. I made this card for the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge this week. You can check it out here: http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/

This week they gave a sketch, but you also had to use a Peachy Keen Stamp. I used Hello Kitty Greetings for the sun cut on blackout with a shadow at 2 1/2 inches. I then used the Dolly Dumpins to stamp with. I stickled the edges and added a little color to the face. I added some ribbon and a sentiment. It looked a little plain so I used a small heart stamp and a versamark pad to add to the background.

I hope to make some more things today to post through the week. Enjoy your weekend!

What a weekend!

Hi everyone! I hope to have something to post tomorrow or the next day. Soccer started this weekend and then my computer crashed -- all on Saturday. We're down to one computer for 4 of us so it's hard to get time! And my daughter decided to rearrange her room which caused me to redo some of my scrap space. That was good, since it made me organize a little better. It just caused me not to have my scrap time this weekend! I hope your week is off to a good start.

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 23

I got some extra time to create today since my kids had an early release day for snow (so I got to leave work!). So I decided to enter the Peachy Keen Challenge due on March 8. The rules were:

1)Must contain green and yellow anywhere on the project
2)Must have a 3-dimensional element on the project (could be an image popped out, embellishment, ribbon, etc.)
3)Must contain a stamped image

I used a flower from George with the blackout feature cut at 3 inches. Stamped the face with PK-163 Dolly Dumplins at 1 inch and inked the edges yellow. I pop dotted the flower and leaves which came from Doodlecharms. The hello stamp came from a set I can't remember the title of. Finished off with some yellow polka dot ribbon.

My daughter said it didn't fit today since it's been snowing all day, but I'm ready for Spring so think it's perfect! You should visit the Peachy Keen site--they have fun challenges! http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/

Mojo Monday 128 - Contest

Here's a card I made for the Mojo Monday Challenge. I love to do these when I have time. They have wonderful sketches--check them out here: http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/

I was just waiting to use this cute cupcake paper I got from Archivers. I cut the cupcake from Celebrations at 2 1/2 inches. The heart came from another cupcake on the same cart, but I cut it at 4 inches and cut the stem off. I completely stickled the whole cupcake (that took a while to dry!) to match the paper: red, cotton candy and waterfall. I used the sentiment (if you can see it) from Studio G and finished it off with some skittles.

Thanks for looking! (This one looks way better in person!)

You're Sweet Card

Here's a card I made last night. I had to cut out some ice cream shapes for my daughter's science fair project and decided to make a card with one. I used DCWV sweet stack for the patterned paper. The cut came from Indie Art. I cut a blackout, shift blackout, and then the top layers--all at 3 inches. I added Frosted Lace Stickles, some pink ribbon. The You're Sweet is from Studio G.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!
