Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #76

Hi everyone! Today's Fantabulous Cricut Challenge is Back to School--Use your ABC's or 123's :)  You just need to make sure to use at least one Cricut cut and use letters or numbers (or both if you want) on your project.

I choose to make a scrapbook page.  This really helps since I am years behind in my scrapping :)

Here are the details:
  • ABC's border cut at 11 inches from Graphically Speaking
  • Apple cut at 3 inches from Plantin Schoolbook
  • My Pink Stamper School Days Stamps--1st day of school, star and school days on journal spot
  • Pattern paper from DCWV stack
  • pop dots (on apple)
I really love how this page turned out!  When I make a page for something specific, I always think I'll make even more pages to get caught up a little, but I usally don't :)

If you haven't visited the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog yet, make sure to do that and see all the design team's wonderful projects.  Then you can enter your own!

Have a wonderful day!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday

Hi everyone!  It's Challenge Me Monday over at Fantabulous Cricut.  Today's challenge is called Try this Angle--use a retangle and a triangle on your project.

I chose to make a scrabook page and used a sketch from Jana Eubank.  The polka dotted paper is my rectangle and my journaling is in the triangle :)

Here are the details:
  • Letters cut at 1 inch from Cricut American Alphabet
  • Dotted rectangle cut at 11 inches tall from Plantin Schoolbook
  • Triangle cut at 5 inches from Cake Basics
  • Leaves cut at 1 1/2 inches from Cricut Essentials
  • Pattern paper from DCWV Green Tea Stack
  • Blue ribbon
  • Signo White pen
I think it's hard to see in the picture but the letters are also cut out of pattern paper that matches the mats behind the pictures.

I hope you all take time to play along with the Fantabulous Challenge this week!!  Make sure to visit the blog and see all the designers fantabulous projects!!

Love Light Block

Hello!  Here's a quick post for you today.  I've been busy getting ready for our Share the Love Fantabulous Cricut Crawl that starts tomorrow.  Be sure to visit and share in the love and try to win some prizes too!!

Here's a gift I made for a swap on the Cricut MB.  We had a Valentine exchange and needed to make some things to give as well.  So I made a quick glass block.  I only took this one picture and this time I put the design on both sides.  I want to make one for me now too :)  The hearts are from Plantin Schoolbook, cut at 1 inch and 2 1/4 inches and the love came from Home Decor and is cut at one inch.  I used frost glass spray and pink, white and red vinyl.

Have a great day and be sure to visit Fantabulous Cricut tomorrow and join the Crawl!!

Celebrate Freedom Scrapbook Pages

I know the title of this post sounds like 4th of July, but it was actually an all day concert September 4th  put on by our local Christian radio station .  I won VIP passes, which meant that we had seats and didn't have to bring our own chairs.  We went for about 5 hours and had a blast!  Here's a 2 page layout about our night.  My daughter got pretty close to the front and took most of the picutres which turned out great.  Then she got to meet a few guys from one of the groups and get a picture and an autograph!

Details:
  • Plantin Schoolbook--letters cut at 1 1/4 and 1 inches with shadows
  • Hannah Montana for the music notes and microphone
  • Double-sided patterned paper by Creative Imaginations
  • white pen for around the page 'stitching'
  • iRock gems (a lot)
I usually don't do this much detail for scrapbook pages, especially since it took me a few hours just for these pages-LOL!

Peachy Keen Challenge 31, Cuttlebug Spot Independence & New Blog Candy Winner

Wow, is that a long title or what?! This card covers 2 challenges. First, the sketch came from Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog #31. Go over there to see the sketch and this is my take on it! http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/ Next is The Cuttlebug Spot Celebrate Independence Day challenge. You can see that here http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/ I don't usually do 2 challenges in one card, but it worked this time ;-)

I designed the entire card on my Gypsy. I just got this on Saturday and LOVE it!! I can't believe how easy this went together after planning it on there. The circles came from Plantin Schoolbook (I haven't been able to load George yet) and the stars came from Graphically Speaking (love the search feature!). The small rectangle I stamped on came from the Gypsy too. The card size is 5 x 5 inches.

I followed the sketch, and the stamp is from Peachy Keen. I used a marker and just colored in the fire part to stamp around the firecracker. Then I colored everything in with Stampin' Up! markers and stickles on the outside part of the fire. MPS Family & Friends stamp, gold stickles, SU! ribbon and pop dots on the stars and sentiment. The patterned paper was from a Martha Stewart pack I got on clearance a while ago. Last, but not least, I used the Swiss Dot folder through the Cuttlebug on the blue cirle and the stars (just added gold stickles to the dots on the stars)

Finally, I waited over a week and did not hear from one of my winners so I drew another name and it was Flowerdisco! I already heard from her and her package went in the mail Monday.
