Craft Junkie Too Fall Design Team Post

Hi again everyone!  I usally don't post twice in one day, but this is my 1st Design Team post for Craft Junkie Too.  I'm so thankful to Tracy for picking me to be on one of her fall teams!

For my 1st project, I've made a wall hanging.  I actually used my Deep Cut Blade for the first time by cutting the chipboard for the base.  Here are the details:
  • Base cut out in chipboard and cardstock at 10 inches from Mini Monsters
  • Beware cut at 2 inches from October 31st
  • Spiderweb cut at 6 1/4 inches from October 31st
  • Spiders cut at 1 1/2,  2 1/2, and 3 1/2 inches from October 31st
  • Black stickles on Beware and Frosted Lace Stickles on web
  • i Rock gems
  • Several different ribbons/patterns tied on handle
  • Sponged black ink on edges and around web
This was so much fun to make and I just love how it turned out!  My daughter wants it for her room--she already took a framed piece I made for Halloween too--LOL!  But it's still hanging over my fireplace for now :)

Make sure to go over to Craft Junkie Too to see the rest of the Design Team's wonderful projects!!

Bats About You!

I received My Pink Stamper's Spooky Puns and Everyday Life stamps in the mail yesterday from Stamps Alive and had one hour before I was leaving for my night out.  I threw together this card in about 30 minutes.  It was so quick and easy and I think turned out cute!  Here are the details:
  • October 31st Cartridge Bats cut at 2 inches &1 1/4 inches
  • Recollections Halloween paper
  • iRock gems
  • American Crafts black ribbon
  • Black Stickles
  • Martha Stewart Drippy Goo Punch
  • My Pink Stamper Spooky Puns set
I am going to scrapbook today and/or tomorrow.  Usually, I feel the need to scrap in order and I'm about 9 years behind--LOL!  But there is a challenge I want to enter and I need to scrap about what I did this weekend.  So I was able to get my pictures from Saturday night printed in an hour, so away I go!  I haven't scrapped in ages, so wish me luck that I actually do it :-)  I really want to get back to it.

Erin Lee Creative & OMC Challenge

Hi everyone!  It has been a crazy week here with soccer starting.  And tonight, my son broke a bone in his arm halfway through practice.  So we spent about 2 hours at the emergency children's place.  He only has a temporary cast and will need a better one.  What a week!

So, I was going to do a post before this one with a project for Emma's Throwback Thursday.  But it was not pretty--LOL!  I'm going to try to make a new project for it, but I have to go back to work tomorrow and fit in an Ortho appointment for my son :-)

But I am very happy with this project for Erin's challenge!!  She's having a Halloween challenge with Oh My Crafts--check it out! http://www.erinleecreative.com/

Her challenge was to make a Halloween themed project so I decided to make something in a frame.  I used the October 31st cartridge for all the cuts.  The Beware is cut at 3 1/2 inches high and 11.05 inches across. I found black glossy cardstock at JoAnns today.  I also cut out 2 others out in regular black and pop-dotted the layers to make it stand out more.  The bat was cut at 2 inches high with only one more black layer like beware.  The paper did not go all the way across--the frame is 14 inches long so I tapped aother piece and covered it with the ribbon.  So I needed something to go on that side and I realized the skeleton would be perfect!  It's 5.75 inches tall, if I remember correctly.

To finish it off, I used the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo Punch--love that!  Then I sponged black ink on the orange background and the skeleton.  It still needed something so I pulled out my irock gems and found the purple and orange ones.  Oh and the frame was a little plain so I put some halloween ribbon on the outside of the frame.

I was having trouble getting a good picture with the glass in so the 1st is without the glass.  And the second has the glass in it.  My daughter loves it and wants it in her room--LOL!

I hope you enjoy!  I'm going to try to get some projects made this weekend, but you never know :-)
