April Showers at Fantabulous Cricut

Hi everone!  This week's challenge theme at Fantabulous Cricut is April Showers.  You need to use an umbrella or hat on your project.  The April Shower's cartridge has a lot of really cute cuts on it and includes an umbrella.  I love this cartridge because things are so easy to put together!

Here are the details:
  • Umbrella from April Showers cut at
  • Stamp from My Pink Stamper Fabulous Phrases set
  •  DCWV the Celebration Stack patterned paper
  • Helmar Scrap Dots
  • Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive
  • EK Success edge punch
  • American Crafts ribbon
  • Glam Pink Stickles
I have recently discovered the Helmar adhesives and love them!  The Scrap Dots is so fun to work with, and the Quick Dry Adhesive is liquid but does not leave any bumps.  I used the Scrap Dots to pop up the umbrella.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #53

Hi everyone!  The Fantabulous Cricut Challenge theme this week is Looks Like Spring.  Make a project with a spring theme.  This week, I decided to alter a mini clipboard.  I covered the front and back with paper (the back is plain green).  Then I used Cricut cuts to decorate and added a blue mat for a picture later.  My daughter wants to steal it from me, but I had planned to put it in my office.  She'll probaly end up with it though :)

Here are the details:
  • Bird (cut at 1 1/2 inches) and nest (cut at 2 inches) from Straight from the Nest cartridge
  • Tree (cut at 3 1/2 inches) and flowers/butterfly (cut at 1 inch) from April Showers
  • Cuttlebug 5 x 7 Polka Dot Folder
  • American Crafts City Park Pattern Paper
  • Helmar Quick Dry Glue
  • Helmar Scrap Dots
  • Stickles
  • Peapod Twine from The Twinery
  • Blue and white ribbon
  • Signo White pen

I used the Helmar Quick Dry glue to glue down the paper, then the twine around the outside of the clipboard.  Then I cut the legs off the bird and used the Helmar Scrap dots to pop up the bird in the nest and also the tree and butterfly.

This was a fun project and something different for a change :)  Make sure to visit the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog  to see all the designers wonderful projects.  And make sure to play along with us!!

My Pink Stamper Pinka-licious Blog Hop!

Hi everyone!!  Welcome to your next stop on the My Pink Stamper Pinka-licious blog hop!  If you've come from Pam's wonderful project at http://simply-pam.blogspot.com/ you're on the right track.  If not, you should start at the beginning at Robyn's site http://www.mypinkstamper.com/.  We're using Spring Colors tonight--What you think spring colors are.  I think of yellow and pink when I think of Spring.  Don't forget to show us what you think spring colors are by linking up your project at Robyn's blog.

Here are the details:
  • My Pink Stamper Fabulous Phrases stamp
  • Butterfly cut from April Showers at 2 inches.  The smaller butterfly is the inside of the outline.
  • Swiss Dot Cuttlebug folder
  • Martha Stewart Lattice Punch Around the Page set
  • Cotton Candy Stickles
  • Flower button
  • Blossom Twine (on button) from The Twinery
  • Pop dots
I'm not sure of the pattern paper name.  I pulled a bunch of paper to take to a crop and can't remember where it came from.  I love these around the page punches!  The only way I can get it to work is to follow the measurements that come on the paper with the punches.  So if you get any, don't throw that away, because it will help you get it right :)  And don't you just love that stamp?!  It looks like handwriting to me--they stamp so well!

I've hit over 700 followers (THANK YOU!) so it's time for some blog candy.  Just leave a comment and a way for me to contact you.  I'll draw a winner Wednesday night.  Up for grabs tonight are some Spring things:  My Pink Stamper Fruit & Veggie Puns Stamps (one of my favorites!), DCWV The Blossoms and Butterflies 4 x 6 stack and a spool of Blossom Twine from The Twinery (I used a bit on my project).

Your next stop on the blog is the talented Enda at http://expressionbypinke.blogspot.com/.  Make sure to visit everyone on the hop and stop back by Robyn's blog with your take on Spring colors.  Here's the blog line up in case you've missed one:
