Adventure Time House Party

Hello everyone!  This is not a crafty post, but I do have a picture of some cute cupcakes I made :)

Have you heard of House Party?  You can apply to host parties to promote products.  Last year I had Glade, Blue Bunny Ice Cream, and Keurig Vue parties.  They send you a party kit which includes products for you and sometimes guests, along with some party favors for all the guests.

Last week, I got to host a Cartoon Network Adventure Time party.  I have 2 teenagers and they love this show!  We previewed the newest episode that will air on Cartoon Network on Monday night.  My son had six of his 15/16 year old friends come--I was so surprised that they wanted to come but they had a great time.  Since he invited friends on his own, we had 2 parties that day.  I sure was tired after all that!

Here's a picture of some simple cupcakes I made for the party.  They have a character on the show called Mr. Cupcake.  He should have a pink nose, but I didn't have pick icing.  Otherwise, it's pretty close :)

I hope to get back to regular crafting again this weekend.  Just not sure why I haven't been that crafty lately, but I do miss it!

Have a fabulous weekend!!

Trendy Twine Valentines

Hello everyone!  It's my turn to post over at Trendy Twine today.  We are showcasing the Valentine Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine this month.  It's still on sale for 2 more days, so miss out!

I have 2 3x3 Valentine cards for you today. These were really quick to put together.  The weather has been rainy so not the best pictures for you today--sorry!

I love the chevron Charles Cuttlebug folder I used on the second card and the bird stamp is from Close to My Heart.  There is a lot of tape on the back of the Valentine Cherry Cupcake Twine on an angle, but I really like the look :)  I really wanted to show you something more fabulous, but I have been sick for a week, but it's not the flu, thank goodness!

There is still plenty of time to join our challenge this month.  You all must be working on some on Sweets for Your Sweeties, so if they follow the challenge, be sure to enter :)

Have a great day!

Pretty In Pink Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to the Pretty In Pink blog hop celebrating the release of two new Trendy Twine Colors Pink Licorice and Pink Midnight!!!  If you have just come from Dawn's Designs that Delight then you are on the right track.  If you happened to stop by my blog be sure to visit Twine It Up! with Trendy Twine so you don't miss out on the fun :)

I just love pink and was so excited to find that Leslie made these awesome new combinations.  For this weekend only, you can get both spools for $16.50. You can get them in a mini set too.

My project is showcasing the Pink Midnight.  I think this would be a great small treat holder or it could even fit a gift card.

Here are the details:
  • Pink Midnight Trendy Twine
  • Purse box cut at 5 inches from Cricut Close to My Heart Artiste Cartridge
  • My Creative Time Stitched Scallop Heart Die
  • Self-Adhesive Gem
  • Scotch Quick Dry Glue
  • White Signo Pen
  • Pop dots
This is a quick little treat holder. The flap has a pop dot under it to hold it down since it wasn't laying flat.  I am just loving adding my Trendy Twine to my projects for more than just bows :)

Well, since you made it to the end of my post, I get to tell you we have blog candy!! To be entered to win one of three gift certificates, comment on each post in the blog hop, follow the Trendy Twine blog and like the Trendy Twine Facebook page.  You must do all three to be eligible to win and your deadline to enter is 10pm CST, Monday, January 28th.

Your next stop is Jamie at JamieK711 Designs.  Have fun!!

What's Up?!

Hello everyone!  I really am trying to get back to creating again.  We finally have some sunshine and I am trying to organize my crafty space.  That includes trying to talk my husband into letting me hang some things on the wall :)  I have taken over the dinning room the last year and a half but he's not too keen on me hanging some things.   I did have to clear everything out for Thanksgiving, but that was it.  So I'm trying to talk him into it just being my room.  We can have a plan B for Thanksgiving this year :)

Here's a card I made and not for a DT post!  Trendy Twine is having a blog hop on Saturday so I do have to still make something for that.  I hope you will hop with us!

Details:

  • Lemon Tart and Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine
  • Giraffe cut at 4 inches and kite cut at 3 inches from Create A Critter
  • Animal Print Cuttlebug Folder
  • Frosted Lace, Black Diamond, and Yellow Stickles
I did take the picture pretty late in the day and tried to adjust the color.  It still looks better in person :)

Have a great day!!
