Operation Tag -- A Birthday Celebration!

Hi everyone!!  Today, we are celebrating Lesley's (Owner/Creator of Trendy Twine) mom's birthday--Happy Birthday Janice!!

Lesley asked if we wanted to make birthday tags to send to her mom.  Now, I really don't think of myself as a great tag maker, but I really wanted to participate.  And I really do like the way it turned out :)  I found this great tag shape on one of my Cricut carts.  I can't remember the name of it right now, but I wanted something a little wider since I feel the narrow tags limit me.

I used the beautiful Aqua Midnight Trendy Twine along with some ribbon for the top of my tag.  The fabulous flowers are from My Creative Time--I just love these.  And I finished it off with some faux stitching, a Close to My Heart stamp and some fun sequins :)  Oh, the paper is Doodlebug.

Be sure to head over to Twine it Up! with Trendy Twine to see all the fun birthday tags made by the design team and some fabulous Trendy Twiners :)

Black and White Challenge

Hi everyone!

I really am trying to find time play along in challenges more and when I saw the black and white challenge over at Paper Crafts Connection, I knew this was one I could do :)

The challenge was to use only black and white and upload it to their flicker group.  Of course, the deadline is tonight and I was running out of time.  So a little after 10pm last night, I went down to make this.  I completed it in under 30 minutes--I think that is a record for me and I still like the card this morning :)

I knew I had the perfect Trendy Twine to use--Black Licorice.  The stamp is from Unity and called My Panda Balloon.  It was just perfect for this challenge.  Then I used My Creative Time 3 x4 Stitched Journal Die and a stamp from the It's All About You stamp set; Echo Park pattern paper and some small black self stick pearls.

Have a great day!!

Trendy Twine Post Day--Grateful

Hi everyone!  It's my turn to post over at Twine It Up! with Trendy Twine today.  I can only give you a sneak today, but you can head over there to see my whole project :)  We are showcasing Orange Truffle Trendy Twine this month.

I really did want to make a card for you, but I think I have a block with using orange and brown for them right now :)  So I came up with something else.

Let's Talk Turkey...and Twine!

Hi everyone!  It's the beginning of the month which means a Trendy Twine post!  This month, we are featuring Orange Truffle Trendy Twine--perfect for your Thanksgiving projects.

Today, I have a treat bottle for you.  I was making a card, but had a total card fail (twice).  Oh well, I'll just come up with a better card for next time :)

The turkey is from Create a Critter Cricut cartridge and cut at 3 1/2 inches--which is why the card was not working. But he looks cute on the Starbucks coffee bottle so all is well.

I wanted to cover the lid somehow and decided to swirl the Orange Truffle Trendy Twine on the top.  This seemed like it would be easy, but took a bit more time that I thought.  The Quick Dry Glue was drying quicker than on a card and I had it everywhere.  But it turned out great in the end.

To finish it off, I added some twine around the top with a bow and a tag for my sentiment.  And I also added a bit to my turkey's hat.

Now, be sure to head over to Twine it Up! with Trendy Twine to see the other design team's turkey projects--they are so cute!!

There's no challenge this month, but I hope you find some time to play with some Trendy Twine.  So head over to Annie's Paper Boutique to get what you need for your holiday crafting :)
